I got a ring for mothersday, I also have proof it was a gift. A non expensive item, sentimental though.i brought it in to get sized, the purchaser had also purchased the warranty so it was supposed to be free. I unfortunately found out I was being cheated on and broke up with my partner before taking it in to get sized. I talked to JOSE and explained I would not have Kay's resize it if they were going to return it to my ex. But in fact that it was a gift, (my initials are even on it) and I needed it resized. And he says it's no problem and was very kind. He took my information and had my sign a paper showing me as the owner of the item so picking up would be easy. So over a week goes by and I heard nothing. I called Kay's and find out they gave my ring back to my ex and he just kept it or maybe refunded it. Kay's says bc he was the original purchaser that it's his and not mine even though I have proof it's a gift to me. I will never accept another gift from this place. Then the associate told me that Jose didn't take my email or enough of my info, that sounds like a training problem to me. But because he Aparently wasn't correctly trained or honest, I lost my gift that was from my child and ex. My ring was under $150, I can only imagine what they do to woman's jewelry that's expensive. Beware if you take your items in to be cleaned, resized, engraved. Apparently they think they can transfer ownership back and forth of items. In the end, I NEVER got my ring back. This place is absolute garbage. What would a woman do after 20 years of having her ring, and takes it to get cleaned and her ex just gets it back? My situation wasn't that bad, but for some people who spend large amounts, BEWARE. They also 'couldn't' help and didn't do anything. Never again. Don't buy the warranty and ladies dont bring your items here to be serviced. They are thieves. I am beyond disappointed such a large brand name does this to people then stands behind their employees mess ups at the cost out of the customers pockets. Attached, is a beautiful custom piece that dawn from the riverside location helped me pick. Though, to someone it may seem like another custom piece but dawn took her time and helped me figure out the size I felt was great for my wife, the amount of diamonds, dawn explained the clarity of diamonds to me she helped educate me on the different types of gold that would be best for this specific piece. She also was the one who reached out to me from the beginning of this to the end meaning she kept me up to date on my 3D print to the mold to the final piece. Not once did I need to reach out! She helped me pick a brand new center stone for my wife’s ring awhile back so I am a returning customer however I must say it’s always a pleasure to work with dawn but I will never forget the experience I got from the first time I walked into the store until now. Read moreI would give 0 stars if I could. I have had such a poor experience with my last purchase. I ordered online for pick up. Was unfortunately called to another state on an assignment and unable to pick up my purchase. I called and asked if Kay’s could authorize another person to pick it up for me. They we unable to allow that. I was given a customer service number to call to ask them if they could authorize another pick up person. I was told that I would have to cancel my order and then I could send the person to the store to buy the item. And that they would not be able to send me another coupon so I could pay the same price. When asked if they could hold my item for longer until I could come back they stated they could only hold it till may 12th but not any longer than that. So I asked if they could mail my item to my house. The employee said they could but I would have to fill out paperwork. I never received the paperwork in email or a coupon code incase I had to reorder. So I drove back to the state I ordered it in after having to rearrange my entire schedule only to be told it was mailed and I never received a confirmation number. Aside from this two officers were called and were following us in the store all the way out to the parking lot.
