GameStop at Riverside Park Mall is an Absolute Scam â Stay FAR Away!
I have NEVER in my life dealt with a more pathetic, dishonest, and downright infuriating business than GameStop at Riverside Park Mall. If I could give them negative stars, I would! Letâs start with their garbage customer service. The employees here act like they donât even want to be there. Theyâre rude, dismissive, and have zero interest in helping customers. Ask a simple question? Youâll get eye rolls, attitude, or straight-up ignored. Itâs like theyâre personally offended that you dared to walk into the store and ask for assistance.
But the worst part? Their blatant, shameless LIES about their so-called âPowerUp Rewardsâ membership. They push this $20 membership like itâs some amazing deal, promising: â A welcome reward (never got it!) â A $5 monthly reward (also a complete scam!) â Exclusive discounts (HA! Yeah, right.) I paid for this garbage membership, and guess what? Nothing. Not a single one of those promised benefits ever showed up. When I went back to the store to ask about it, they laughed it off, blamed me, and told me to call customer service. And guess what customer service did? NOTHING. Just the same useless, robotic responses and zero accountability.
And donât even get me started on their trash trade in values. You can bring in a practically brand-new game and theyâll offer you a few bucks, only to resell it for full price. Itâs a scam, plain and simple. GameStop is a dying business, and honestly, they deserve it. They donât care about customers, they donât honor their own promotions, and they treat people like trash. Save yourself the frustration and take your money elsewhere ANYWHERE but GameStop.

We were waiting in line, after finding a funko pop figure we wanted to purchase. However, an employee noticed we took the last funko pop figure he supposedly asked another employee to hide for him. He verbally called out how upset he was and was visibly frustrated that we were purchasing it, making us feel uncomfortable.
The other employee that was at the register with him said to ring us up, and he was not happy about that. He told her "you're going to make me do it?"
He seemed frustrated and upset while ringing us up. He made no eye contact, and didn't ask if we wanted to use our gamestop reward points. We had to ask to use the rewards.
