I have been to several dispensaries in the area, but this one truly stood out in terms of quality, service, and overall atmosphere.

First and foremost, Bella my star tender was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. She took the time to understand my needs and preferences, and provided expert guidance and recommendations to help me find the perfect strains and products. Her expertise and passion for cannabis were evident, and I felt comfortable asking any questions I had.

They had a wide variety of strains, edibles, concentrates, and topicals, all of which were displayed beautifully and organized in a way that made it easy to browse. The quality of the products was top-notch, and it was evident that they prioritize sourcing from reputable and trusted suppliers.

Why do I like this place so much? There's several reasons. My go - to brand is KAVIAR and BLAZE. Yes, they can be found elsewhere in the Illinois market. But, those 2 are the Starbuds house brands.So for me,it brings me back to the line in " Tommy Boy " starring Chris Farley and David Spade( and all the hilarious mixed up versions of this) -' you tell the quality of a steak by sticking your head in a cows _, or you can take the butchers word ' They know what's up. UPDATE * I understand the nature of the industry. I worked in cannabis for most of 2023. Still, I choose to drive past several dispensaries to get to Starbuds. Primarily, because of the selection and service. The rewards program they have is on point ( points???lol). I was hoping for some Moonrocks from their house brand, KAVIAR. Alas, they weren't yet released. I bought instead a couple 7g's of top shelf KAVIAR flower. So,I arrived home and put my purchase on my desk/ happy place. I realized I had no reason to shop besides really liking going to Starbuds! In front of me, I found( not yet opened) KAVIAR: Power,PB& J Fritter, Super Petrol,Birthday Cake and Moon Blend. Needless to say, a wonderful first world problem to have. For my first time there , I have to say I’m a bit disappointed. There was no one to greet me once you walk in like the other dispensaries around the area. I went to the little window after a couple minutes and the guy that was there that had a bit of blonde on his short, really curly dark hair didn’t even greet me just made a hand signal as if I knew what he meant by that considering it’s my first time there. I told him I was trying to get in and he then said “I need to see your ID first” to which I proceeded to give him that. All the dispensaries I’ve been to around the area , there is always security in the front to SCAN IDs. So the way the guy handled it was unprofessional in my opinion because he then had an attitude because I didn’t know what his hand signal meant. Then security finally came out to check IDs. This was after maybe 5 minutes or so. Luckily the cashier Todd was very helpful and enthusiastic to do his job. He made up for the first rude guy, I wish I caught his name, by also giving me a free pre roll. Overall, please don’t let this happen again. I may consider coming back after my experience with Todd but the other guy?? Someone needs to talk to him about properly greeting customers and good customer service.
