First of all check in was a joke I had advised the front desk gal there that I had just recently been released from hospital and we had booked and paid for room on line. We then proceeded to ask for an early check in. Now keep in mind there were absolutely no other cars in their parking lot other than our two and check-in was supposed to be at 2pm and we just were looking for an hour earlier than that. I just needed to get some rest before heading home the following morning. Not only were we told no way that that wouldn't be happening but that we had to leave parking lot or our cars would get towed away as well. So we headed to the local park for just about an hour. Well needless to say after getting the keys to this $125/night nightmare the room was ok very small and smelled of smoke and cheap air freshener. They did have a mini fridge and a mini microwave which was convenient at first until it leaked water from the inside all over our foods/snacks. When I finally made my way into bed I tried so hard to get comfortable however I kept feeling as though there were crumbs in the bed and no matter how much we shook the bedding out it just got worse. So needless to say we were out of that place by 8pm cause I'm no expert but my skin was so itchy that we both assumed perhaps due to bed bugs or something of that nature. When booking I checked the website to be sure that pets were allowed. I then also called before booking my room be be sure that pets are welcomed at this hotel. The women said yes several times. She then called me back after I had booked my room and given all of my personal information... and wouldn't you know... she still stated that they will allow my dog to stay at the hotel. She repeated several times "No, don't worry, you can bring your pet".

I then got a call from the manager stating I was not able to bring my pet and I would need to find lodging elsewhere (this is of course without even bothering to cancel my reservation). I let him know that their website clearly showed they allowed pets and he stated "We will not honor that" and hung up on me.

I called back rather upset (the Holidays are a stressful time and when you lose a family member as well of course it is that much worse) asking to have a contact for the owner or the corporate office. I was given a fake number.

I cannot believe how horribly I was treated. Clearly the website states that PETS ARE ALLOWED. They did not even bother to ask what breed my animal was (a black lab).
