Man I haven't been to a Old Spaghetti Factory in decades until today. I grew up in SoCal, but moved away forever ago and haven't seen any near home. While hanging out this week Downtown Riverside I met up with my brother who lives nearby for some lunch. We arrived right at opening so parking was a breeze and we were seated right away which was great. The lobby are was nice and loved the colored seating areas. Our waitress greeted us right away and took our drink order. She gave us time to look over the menu since as I said it had been forever since I'd been. I quickly settled on the Chicken Marsala that my niece recommended. Our meals came with a salad as well. I was starving so I was anxious for it all to arrive. In the mean time our server brought us some yummy bread to enjoy. Our food arrived quickly and it looked amazing. The portion size was large and I couldn't wait to dig in. The flavors were on point, sauce yummy and both the pasta and chicken prepared perfectly. To my pleasant surprise at the end of our meal there was spumoni . I didn't see that was included in meal. It was the perfect amount for an after lunch dessert. Service was friendly and efficient. I didn't have to ask for a single thing the entire meal.

Worst dining experience in a long long time. Were told a 10 minute wait, waited 30 and then got sat at a table that had been open and set the entire time. It took 45 minutes to get a beer, in a bottle... it took 20 minutes for them to tell me the initial one ordered was not available. Garlic cheese bread was stale and bread itself was cold and had obviously not been unfrozen all the way. Food came out after about an hour and my spaghetti was cold to the touch, chicken Parmigiana was completely dry and had almost no flsvor. No one ate more than a few bites due to the absolute flavorless food. No exaggeration the jar of spaghetti sauce at the store has more flavor and tastes better (or the spaghetti MRE i had in Afghanistan...) We tried pouring the sauce from the garlic cheese bread on the spaghetti to help, since there was very little sauce content to the meat sauce, but it really didn't help. I get that companies are trying to cut corners during Covid but this is a bit extreme (We ate there a few weeks ago, for some reason the review didn't post till now)

The Old Spaghetti Factory serves up a dining experience that's as varied as its menu. Let's dive into the good, the not-so-good, and everything in between. The food here hits the spot, offering satisfying Italian-American fare that won't break the bank. However, don't get your hopes up for the complimentary ice cream – it's more of an afterthought than a treat. And if you're thinking of quenching your thirst with iced tea, you might want to reconsider and opt for a different beverage. The restaurant's ambiance is a definite plus, creating a welcoming environment for diners. However, when it comes to cleanliness, it seems the staff is just barely making the grade. A little extra attention to detail wouldn't go amiss. One standout feature is the free parking lot. In a world where parking can be a headache, this is a welcome relief for patrons. The Old Spaghetti Factory offers a decent meal in a pleasant setting, with the added bonus of hassle-free parking. While it may not be gourmet dining, it's a solid choice for a casual night out or a family dinner.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here. Wears a reservation and when we arrived our table was ready and we were sat immediately. The ambiance was inviting and the decor historic, as it compliments downtown Riverside well by honoring its legacy. We were amazed that our meals included the soup/salad option, alongside a dessert. I had the chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. The chicken breast was cooked to perfection. It had a light crisp on the outside while remaining tender and savory on the inside. My wife ordered the Chicken breast Fettuccine with broccoli. The sauce was flavorful and equally portioned throughout the dish. We both upgraded to the Caesar salad, which had crisp lettuce, crunchy and tasty croutons, cheese, and a balanced dressing that brought it all together. We both chose to have Vanilla Ice cream instead of the spumoni. The ice cream was had a creamy and sweet satisfying taste. We had a great time and will return with our kids! We want them to enjoy The Old Spaghetti Factory as much as we did!

Here's a possible way to write a 5-star review: "I'm giving The Old Spaghetti Factory a well-deserved 5 stars! The food was absolutely amazing - I loved every bite! But what really made my experience stand out was the exceptional service. The employees were so friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. And let's not forget the sweet treats - fresh vanilla ice cream and lemonade were the perfect finishing touches! I was also impressed by the staff's willingness to go above and beyond, offering a free refund and inviting me to stop by if I had any other questions. It's clear that they truly care about their customers and want to ensure a memorable experience. I can't wait to come back and indulge in more of their delicious food and warm hospitality. Five stars isn't enough - I'd give it ten stars if I could! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Today I was scolded at the table for 1. Not saying it was "to go," (when I actually did) and 2. ordering the "to go" meal when I ordered my "stay" meal (he said "usually people order the to go meal at the end so it doesn't get cold"). Whatever. I didn't want to forget. I mean, let's face it, it's gonna get cold before it gets home. Well, everyone at the table heard it, so... When I got home, the dinner size "to go" meal was smaller than the size of my cell phone. I called the manager and was told, "I'm sure he didn't scold you," and "we use larger tins, so it makes it look like your meal is small." This, she said twice before I quit trying. Uh, that's not what happened. Here's what it looks like. Very small portion. And the food was only so-so. Very disappointing. Won't go back.
