The Riverside Art Museum (RAM), located in Riverside, California, is a vibrant cultural institution dedicated to promoting visual arts and providing a platform for artists and the community. Established in 1967, the museum is housed in a historic building designed by noted architect Frank Miller, which adds to its charm and character.

RAM features a diverse collection of contemporary and historical artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed media from both local and national artists. The museum emphasizes the importance of regional art and often showcases works that reflect the unique culture and history of Riverside and the surrounding area.

In addition to its permanent collection, the Riverside Art Museum hosts rotating exhibitions that explore various themes and artistic movements. The museum also offers educational programs, workshops, and events for people of all ages, aiming to engage the community and foster a deeper appreciation for the arts.

The museum's commitment to outreach and education is evident through its programming, which includes guided tours, art classes, and family-friendly activities. RAM strives to be a welcoming space where visitors can explore, learn, and connect with the arts.

Great experience, I decided to stop here on a whim and was immediately and enthusiastically greeted by the woman at the front desk. She spoke to me as if it was her first day there, eagerly sharing some of the building's history in a very refreshing way- information I'm sure she has to repeat on a daily basis.

Lovely historic building with a central courtyard/atrium flooded with light, lots of beautiful and interesting details all around. My visit was mid-day in the middle of the week and I'm pretty sure I was the only person in the entire place perusing the exhibits. Every gallery I went into was empty which was fantastic and immersive. Decent mix of art forms and styles. I have to admit I was left wanting for more; the museum has 3 main galleries, a few small displays in between and the rest seemed to be for classes/activities/studios/administrative.

Recommended if you want something to do for $5. I spent ~30-40 minutes casually browsing the building. Parking is free on Lime st in front of the...

Beautiful galleries that are diverse and showcase multiple communities. Tickets were about $30+ for two. This gives you access to two museums. Really cute date night idea. We went on a weekend, so there was a farmers market close by.

I would definitely start off by getting coffee or breakfast (lots of great coffee shops near by), browse one museum, get lunch, and browse the second one. Some artwork made me emotional, but worth the experience.

I do suggest buying tickets in advance as we had to fill out a short form before entering. This could be time-consuming for groups bigger than 4. The form took us about 3 mins each, and they only had one...

First time to come check this amazing place out the staff is super friendly. They are all polite and welcoming one of the volunteers gave us a history lesson on the building which was awesome who new it was a girls young womans Christian center. Pretty cool to know that where one of the exhibits is laid out use to be a indoor swimming pool. So that being said nice art work from various artist paintings, drawings, and photography they even have art for children posted on the wall. They accept donations. Small exhibits but worth checking it out. Did I mention there are sculptures too fantastic to look at and intricate
