Bounce Roanoke — Attraction in Roanoke

We had the most wonderful time at a Birthday Party this past weekend at Bounce Roanoke. First of all, it is so very clean, bathrooms, party dining area and bouncing areas, and we saw the girls cleaning, disinfecting and often wiping things. We were greeted upon arrival by the manager Shelly, the coordinator Hannah and her assistants Abby and Reagan; they brought a cart to our car and helped us unload our cupcakes and things, offering to bring a cupcake stand for better display, and took our fruit and veggie trays and put them in cold storage for us. They took our special character tablecloths and put them our, making everything look inviting as the kids were jumping, and inflated a big throne for the birthday child to eventually sit in and receive gifts. As the children arrived, they were escorted by these girls into the huge play area of jumping and bouncing/slide areas, and they were allowed 75 min of play before being escorted into the party area, and each child was given hand sanitizer by this wonderful team before sitting to eat. We paid $15 extra to have photos taken, and one of the team roamed around, even bouncing with the children to get great pics, and before leaving the fun area to dine, they took a group pic of the kids; we received a code to share with friends to view the pics online for 180 days. The party included pizza and drinks, and they ordered from a nearby Dominos which is very reliable to them, and the pizzas were hot when placed on the table; we were given Coke products and iced water/fruit punches to drink. Once everyone had done party and cake, the birthday boy opened gifts, and one of the team had a clipboard where she listed every gift and whom it was from: super helpful! We booked and paid for a private 2 hour birthday party for our child. We were there for 45 minutes when 25 kids and parents came in that were not in our group. No one could answer why we did not have the entire 2 hours to ourselves when the party was booked as private. My child was very upset because his party was cut short. We rented out this facility twice before in the past year for a private 2 hour party and we had a 2 hour private party without issue. The staff said it was under new management but no one offered to contact the new management on our behalf. We will NOT be returning.

Edited after response from owner: At the time of booking, we booked a 2 hour private party. This was confirmed in the confirmation email from the owner at the time of booking. The owner states in the response that we should have had one hour of private bounce time (which is not what we agreed upon- we agreed upon the 2 hour private bounce time) but only received 45 min as it was then open to the public (which was never disclosed to us).

Our experience was terrible. This is the second time we have had a party at Bounce and it will be our last! From the rude teenagers who were working our party to the overly strict rules on not bringing in any outside food/ drinks without paying a ridiculous fee, this place has went downhill since last year. New management took over since last year. It used to be a great experience- the private bounce time was one of the main perks and now that that is gone, this is not an affordable or worthwhile birthday party option anymore. I was met with rude attitude before our party simply because we showed up 20 minutes before our start time. It was just downhill from there throughout the whole experience. They were supposed to have water for the adults to drink. I had discussed this over the phone a week prior to our party. It was nowhere in sight and I had to ask for it in the middle of the party. Even when water was brought out by the party host it was not made available for everyone- it was kept behind the host and people had to go up and ask for it.
