Giving this place a 4 star overall review in hopes to offer some constructive criticism. We eat here regularly and have had no bad experiences. Several menu items are awesome, and some we think could use improvement.
My patenter is Vietnamese so we try not to compare to her family’s home cooking, but even then there are some items that we really enjoy.
A couple things we would critique are:
Iced coffee, traditionally the coffee is served hot and you mix with condensed milk yourself, then ice. But this it is pre-made here and honestly very sweet. We would prefer to enjoy the traditional way. the pho is awesome! *But, they mix the onions, bean sprouts and cilantro in before serving. These are meant to be on the side with the jalapeños and lime. I would very much recommend sending these separately with the pho as meant to be, and as done in traditional viet restaurants.
Banh mi’s are done a bit different, but suuuuuper flavorful and fresh. Pho is done well, i always get the round eye steak & tendon.
Spring rolls & egg rolls are great appetizer options, we usually get these. Boba in the boba tea is also chewy, as...
Read moreThe service was terrible. When we ordered, the server gave us attitude when we asked for extra lime and jalapeños. When we tried to summon the server for some cilantro, she didn’t come to us. Instead, she waited by the register and we had to yell across the restaurant. The server was on the phone when we asked for cilantro; and they didn’t even have any. All pho places I’ve been to has cilantro for customers to put as they like. The pho also tasted watered down. When I asked for some extra fish sauce, they gave me vinegar with chili pepper flakes. When my husband paid for our meal, he noticed the door was open next door to a nail salon. The nail salon and pho restaurant are a joined ownership; but why would you leave the door open by the kitchen where people cook and there’s feet, hands, and nail polish/remover next door ? DON’T eat here. Go to the other Pho place on Williamson Rd;...
Read moreIf I could rate 0 I would. I worked here for 4 days and walked out. Place is nasty. Roaches EVERYWHERE, they just rinse off dishes and cookware NO SOAP!, reuse food already given to customers whether it has been eaten or not, cross contamination like crazy, never use gloves or wash hands, they have an addiction to saran wrapping everything. The owners are racist and hold the Vietnamese customers at a hire stature than other races, they talk down to their employees, change menu prices at the drop of a dime, and I'm about 80% sure they're committing fraud (since they keep the other 20% of their employee's checks anyway!), amongst countless other horrid things. Won't eat here, won't work here, won't even go to their nail salon either. Horrible, disgusting, beyond groady.
Hope you guys enjoy having roaches frozen in your...
