Lago Pizza — Restaurant in Roanoke

Let me start off by saying the food really wasn't bad I would like to come back but this was my first experience at this restaurant and has left a bitter taste after my experience I doubt I will be supporting this business in the future.

To begin the waitress (who was nice) asked my wife if she would like mayo lettuce etc on her sandwich, we came to find out adding that condiment was $.52 so it is not standard to have condiments on your sandwich. I had also asked for a side of ranch with my pizza, this condiment cost $1.02.

Once we got the bill I noticed EVERY SINGLE LINE was a higher price than what is listed on the menu, a $11.99 sandwich you will be charged 12.35, a 19.95 pizza you will be charged 21.35, a 3.99 side you will be charged 4.05 EVERY SINGLE THING YOU ORDER WILL BE A HIGHER PRICE THAN ADVERTISED ON THE MENU.

When we politely and kindly asked for an explanation we were told it's higher because it includes tax, so we said that's fine, that makes sense, if the price we are charged includes tax then we shouldn't have to pay tax again on a separate line.

At the end of it we decided to to keep pushing I understand it's only a few cents or dollars but mathematically it doesn't make sense and nobody provided a reasonable and valid explanation.

I want to update my review. Lagos owner contacted me and told me to call slice, who is actually who delivered the pizza. I did and Slice at first offered me 25% refund and I told them that was unacceptable. They then came back with 50% refund. It was theirs drivers fault and I felt I should have gotten a full refund. I called Lagos and they apologized and will replace my entire order, even tho it wasn’t their fault. This people is customer service and I totally appreciate them!!

We order from Lagos for delivery fairly frequently and have never had an issue, it’s been my favorite place to order from. Today I placed the order and the picture below is what it looked like when we opened the box. Apparently it had been dropped. First time I tried to order delivery they called back and said they didn't have a driver that day. Second time I tried to order it went thru the wrong store. So when I went to pick up it wasn't there and I had to wait another 45 minutes. The pretzel tasted burnt and the cheese was ice cold. The garlic knots were great but they forgot my red sauce. The garlic parm wings were spicey, odd. The NY style pizza (tomato and broccoli) was delicious. Third time I ordered they delivered 30 minutes. Pretzel was much better and the cheese was actually warm. However, you don't need so much cheese so they could cut the size and cost. The chicken tender and fries app, the chicken was over cooked and the fries were tossed in spices and not plain, I would have opt for no fries had I known that. Same NY style pizza with tomato and broccoli, was even better this time , less golden which i enjoy. But I did get all my side sauces...
