Placed a mobile drive thru order through the BK app. Everything was easy once I figured out how to link my BK account to my WalMart account for 25% off the order. Confusion began upon arrival at the food window, when 2 different employees asked me twice what I had ordered. The order had not even been started, and I watched 3 employees standing and talking while waiting for something to cook. While waiting, the car behind me left hurriedly while waiting after placing their order. Finally, I received my food and everything, even my special requests on condiments were correct. The food was hot and tasty. I could not use the % off on the order bc I ordered the free Whopper available, and one can only choose one discount per order. Overall, it was a good encounter, with the exception of the initial confusion of the mobile order and long wait.
Dec 30, 2024 Placed another mobile order today, and all went faster and better than my previous visit. Got a free bacon cheeseburger through the BK app. It was the same size as a Jr. Whopper, which is small, but it was tasty. The pickles, even though I love them, overpowered the patty, cheese, and bacon, so I enjoyed them separately, and the burger was more balanced. Took advantage of the 2 Whopper Jr. for $5 special! And they were better than the bacon cheeseburger. Everything was balanced, except the lettuce was the size of a quarter! Staff seemed more prepared for the mobile order and did not seem as stressed as the previous visit, I recognized 2 employees from before. I chose the drive thru, so I can't comment on the interior atmosphere, but the outside grounds held some trash, and signs, etc, needed some repair.
Feb 21, 2025 Placed a mobile order, and all ran smoothly! Ordered the 2 for $5 special of two whopper juniors, with free fries through the mobile app. I like ordering through the app bc you can get everything exactly as you like, by editing your order...so extra mayo or less pickles is easy to communicate, and all my choices were honored. Fries were very hot, but had a faint off flavor in the oil. It did not taste old, but maybe they were fried after a chicken patty etc. The salt and catsup covered the off taste, but fries still left an aftertaste that was not pleasant. Read moreI went into this store as a DoorDash driver to pick up an order on 8/21/23 around 2:30-3:00 PM. I encountered an older lady with wrinkly skin in her face, and a heavy set guy. Both white.
They were both talking to me and telling me they were out of the fountain drink that the customer ordered so I sent a text to the customer to ask what they would like instead. The guy continued to face me and the older woman turned the opposite direction but was standing very close to him. They had been laughing and carrying on when I went in so I took notice when they got quiet while I was texting. So I looked up to see why, and she was whispering to him and making hand gestures to a certain body part MAKING FUN OF ME RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. NOT EVEN ONE FOOT AWAY like I wouldn’t notice or know what she was talking about. I glared at the male employee while watching her to let him know that I was aware of what she was saying before I looked back down at my phone to continue with my customer and he must have warned her that I knew because she stopped. But they were still very quiet compared to when I entered. They knew they messed up. Guilt on their faces. They handed me the drink and I left without speaking a word to either of them.
This encounter can likely be seen on your security camera footage if you have them, which I assume you would.
I contacted customer support and they were supposed to pass a long my complaint to the GM. I am waiting for a response and I am expecting proper action to be taken with these employees because I have NEVER felt so disrespected and embarrassed in my entire life, especially about an insecurity that I was made fun of for as a child and have since overcome. Being made fun of by a woman who is easily 40 years my senior is ridiculous and tasteless. She acted like a child. I will not hesitate to escalate this situation to social media and beyond until something gets done about it. Read more3/24/24: This place used to be very good for a fast food chain restaurant. Over the years, I've watched the staff change from helpful, hard working employees, to unhelpful, time wasting, self centered people that are just putting in the time to get a check. There are still a couple good ones there. It's only a matter of time before they quit like the rest.
Tonight was proof of what I'm saying. My family of 5 pulled into the parking lot just ahead of two more cars pulling in as well. There was one lone car in the drive thru. We all walk in to order and eat. The "lead person" came walking up to the front and saw the 8 - 10 of us there. He then said oh man, look, we're closing the dining room because we don't have enough help. That was totally stupid! They had been opened all day up until then, 5:15pm. But seeing the large group getting ready to place our orders, he decided to run us out.
Fine! I will never set foot in this restaurant again. Why did I give it two stars? Because it was a more appropriate response than the one finger I gave it.
Major Kudos to the Burger King in Vinton, just 2.5 miles away. They were open, professional, and willing to serve us. Excellent service and food! I'll review that location separately and give it the 5 stars it deserves!
10/14/18: This is your typical Burger King fast food restaurant. Good food; good people. Don't complain about their new POS. They will fault you instead of the lack of proper training. You see, that little comment you made under your breath about the person that returned food that was completely wrong, does get heard and brought out for everyone to read.
