I recently attended a Halloween-themed craft event and was unfortunately left with a very poor impression after a three-visit process that was required to finish my piece. I will not be returning to this business. The initial visit set a low tone, as we were not informed in the event description that an additional appointment would be needed to finish our pieces and then a 3rd to pick up. The instructor also seemed unengaged and uninterested in helping the novice participants. For a class catering to beginners, more guidance and teaching aids are highly recommended. Furthermore, the event lacked any seasonal ambiance, which was a missed opportunity for a Halloween-themed event. My second visit was similarly lackluster, with an awkward atmosphere and mostly silence. Again, there was no effort to create an inviting seasonal experience. The final straw came during the third visit, when I arrived to pick up my finished pieces. I was met with a rude and unprofessional response when I stated my purpose for visiting. The individual incorrectly insisted I was there on the wrong day, despite the email clearly stating both Saturday and Sunday as pick-up options. The entire experience felt like a simple transaction rather than a creative workshop. The lack of transparency, disengaged teaching, and rude customer service made me feel unwelcome.
