Ate there with teenagers and myself for the 1st time tonight and I'd definitely go back! Parking is street parking. It's small inside and not very many tables but we waited a short bit and was seated quickly with in a few minutes. I loved the decor and the simplified menu. The staff was very friendly. You order and pay at the counter and they bring the food out. We ordered chicken strips w/fries, plain chicken sandwich with fries, a hot chicken sandwich combo with onion rings and the fried portobello as a side, vanilla shake and a cookies and cream shake. It didn't take long to get our food either. My sons said the shakes were okay. They really liked the fries and my oldest is a chicken strip lover which he said they were good but 2 chicken strips wasn't enough to fill him up I think if it was 3 or you could add a piece for an extra amount it would be good. I had the hot chicken sandwich which I didn't care for it tasted like Tabasco or Buffalo sauce which I'm not a fan of and it wasn't that hot but that's my opinion some may like it, next time I'd like to try a burger, the onion rings were amazing and big, the fried portobello mushrooms are cut in strips and also were amazing! The price for all of it was $51 with tax which is pretty good. I also noticed they have an amazing deal hamburger, fries and drink combo for $5.99 between 2-4pm everyday. Overall super happy with our visit. Only reason for 4 stars would be because the amount of chicken strips in a combo. Thank you to the owner for the delicious meal that was easy on the wallet! We...
Read moreWent to Al's for my first time and definitely will be coming back again and again. They were really busy when we got there. The owner (I think) came over to offer my elderly mother a chair to sit in while waited for a table. She kept updating us on when a table would be available. The single smash burger combo was only $11 (that includes fries and a drink), which I thought was very reasonably priced. Everything about the burger was wonderful tasting. Fresh crunchy lettuce and red onion are two things that seem to be hard to find at most restaurants but really make a burger so much better. I HATE soggy or super finely chopped lettuce on a burger. I was overly happy when I saw they had red onions. Red onion adds way more flavor than just white onion on your burger. Don't forget to add Al's special sauce on there too. Normally I'm not a fan of crinkle cut fries. They were cooked perfectly crunchy and had tasty seasoning on them. I didn't realize they had cheese sauce until after I ate them all with honey BBQ sauce. Next time! The chicken tenders were big and tasty as well. We had shakes for dessert which were great. I was very impressed by the customer service, quality of the food and value for the price. Definitely make sure to go out of your way to try this place out and you'll...
Read moreThe food was ok. I thought after all the hype it would be phenomenal. Maybe I came on a bad day idk. The pics look great. It was $16.49 for a double bacon Che and onion rings and drink so about the going rate anywhere else. The sign says $4 for a basket but I guess they add an extra $2 if you change to onion rings. Also they don’t give you dipping sauce for the onion rings if it’s in a basket only if it’s as a single item- that’s what the cashier told me. They also don’t put Mayo or any condiments on the burgers. I ordered mine with everything and assumed it had Mayo and got to the car and it was a dry bun, I guess I should have realized that when the girl asked if I wanted ketchup and mustard packets. The chicken tenders were pretty good. My daughter said her portobello burger was delicious and that did have some sort of sauce on it. I was definitely hoping for more and was disappointed. For first impressions it was just meh. For what I paid I could’ve gotten the same or better at Culver’s. I will give them one more try though, like I said, maybe it was...
