I've been counting down the months and days with high expectations ever since I first heard Aldi was coming to Rockville, and this brand new location does not disappoint!
Not only are their prices just as incredible as any other Aldi location, but the store feels very nice and fresh, and every aisle/section has plenty of breathing room. Even the area where you pick up/drop off your carts in front of the entrance is protected from the elements.
I was able to find literally everything I was looking for on my first trip to this store - even things I thought would be too obscure for Aldi to carry. The employees were also very friendly, and my cashier seemed just as excited for the store to be open as I was.
Really, the only thing I noticed that could use some improvement is the layout of the parking lot, but that may or may not be under Aldi's control. The rows of parking run parallel to the curb rather than perpendicular like most other grocery store parking lots. The issue with this is because there is no place wide enough to cut through the first row of parking with a shopping cart to access the second or third rows of parking. They really just need to remove one parking space from the first row to create an access alley.

Read moreOn 11\19\24 I went to this location and was assaulted over a dispute in line. A new line opened after there somebody requested a new line, and then that's when we went to the new line. We arrived first and and older man shoved my cart away from me, almost hitting me. Shortly after, I got fed up with this guy's disrespect and started yelling at the man's wife to move. This caused the older gentleman to shove me and threatened to punch me. After they refused to move I started to chuck my items because the guy in front of me refused to move told by staff. After no intervention made, they proceeded to kick both of us out because they couldn't come up with a resolution with the older man and his wife. I've been treated poorly by the staff at this location before, but this is absurd treatment , especially considering the fact that they voluntarily sat there doing nothing after a minor was assaulted by a man triple his age. I knew ALDI was a low quality, low class place but this is to a different level. If you want a place where they give their cashiers minimum wage and apply all the pressure on them to serve 100s of people and keep a unsteady 2 lanes open to serve these people, then by all means shop here. But I'd rather pay extra for quality food at Giant, or Harris Teeters. God...
Read moreI can give 0 star if the option is available. There was a price tag showing that particular item is on sale but when the cashier scanned it didn't show the sale price. When I asked the cashier she said no that is the price. Asked to call the manager, first she refused and said the manager is busy. After I insisted she called the manager. Manager went to check it and it about 15min to return back and said that is the different item and the sign was placed in the wrong place and I fixed it now. That is their problem. Manager should have fix there problem after she told me. Making the customer to wait for ever and fixing their mistake is not acceptable. I wanted to leave but she had my receipt.
One of the dirtiest Aldi I ever seen. Most of the time the floor is sticky.
A week ago I even witnessed one of the staff simply tried to move an item "corianders leave bag" which fell down on the floor from the cart and then she simply put it on the shelf. She was in charge to shelf that particular product.
