Sai Foods — Attraction in Rocky Hill

My comment here is based on what i have observed over past 2 years and happening based on 4/27 evening. Please BEWARE of the cheating that they are doing. especially on items like OKRA, Biscuits / snacks etc that has a mention as "special offer price" on it. Make sure to CHECK your BILL ALWAYS as it being charged more. i have had MANY instances where i have purchased Indian branded biscuits that is mentioned as special offer as a specific price (in $) and the bill will scan extra 50 cents or so. THEY KNOW about this and they dont change the price in the bill UNLESS customer points out them. Also grocery items like OKRA, i have always been wondering why my OKRA prices have been very high in the bill, but could not figure out the reason. Today on 4/27/2018 they were caught red handed. they have 2 types of OKRA "Normal" and "Indian" which is kept right besides each other. Today one of the shop person was adding new "Normal OKRA" and as he kept adding i was taking from the "Normal OKRA". but when i went to the billing counter i was charged for "Indian OKRA" which is sold at rocket high price when compared to "Normal" one. When i inquired about why i am being billed as Indian OKRA, he said i took the Indian One. when i asked the billing counter guy to talk to the person who was filling the OKRA, he just went inside came back and said it might have been a mixing mistake and i have to pay The sky rocket price of "Indian" OKRA. Then i said i dont want it and had to give back. I always wait for the vegetables to be filled full, so that i will get fresh. Now based on what i have observed it appears like they tend to mix both OKRA's and bill for the higher price OKRA. PLEASE WATCH YOUR BILL. Especially for items like OKRA, Biscuits Snacks that has "Introductory /special offer"...

Most of the groceries are not good like amul ghee, dry onions and bitter gourd ( karela) and parval. I don’t have link to share video. Also they sell very old corianders ( hara dhaniya ) it has very big leaves and it taste bitter. And mustard oil has very black color not yellow color. I complained about it two times by phone then manager said he can not do anything better you will come on Monday and Thursday for groceries shopping then you will get fresh vegetables, but still I am getting old parval and karela and bhindi ( lady finger) and bhindi has very tight skin when I cook it doesn’t cook well. I have so many videos about sai vegetables we can not keep these vegetables out of fridge for 9-10 hours they got fungas. Again I camplained about it at shop then billing counter employee said you need to come shop to return it with recipt. Why would I do that this is only shop in Rocky hill and we buy groceries from this shop so they have to improve quality of product and try to not sell old stuff to customers .and I don’t want to change sai indian shops too.

This place used to have moths and everyone working there always seemed miserable and not even bare minimum polite. The other Indian store I used to go to closed so I started going here again. The moths are gone, but the workers are still miserable. I try to be polite say hi and thank you and am definitely not giving anyone a hard time but this guy working the register who seems like he can barely contain his contempt throws my groceries down the belt. Not sure what the problem is. I've only seen one person there who is pleasant to deal with. I feel bad for him if the other workers treat him like they treat customers. Location is great for me, but I think at this point I will go out of my way to...
