This is a HORRIBLE place. I won a remote control car in a raffle but the car did not come with a battery pack so I had to go there to buy one and the charger. That's not my beef on them. I paid near 100 dollars. Charged it up. Played with it once. Went to play with it again a few months later and the battery would not charge. I called them to ask what was up. They said did you leave your battery charged into the car when not in use. I said yes. Then there is your problem. Your cells died. I said could you have told me that I was to unplug it when not in use. They said it's in your manual. I checked...it's not in the manual. They said oh well too bad but you can come buy a new one if you want. I mean not even a "were sorry", I can give you a discount...nothing but go pound sand. Very disappointed with their support from locals who have shopped there before. Shady at best and I suggest you buy from a different shop if you look for support on what you buy. Honestly, there was not even an ounce of I feel bad for you. Just go pound sand and thanks for the...
Read moreAfter checking and calling around to stores nearest to where I live - allendale with no luck with them carrying the parts I needed I called house of hobbies. They had two of the associated parts in house and said that other brand parts should be a fit for the associated parts they did not have. So I made the hour drive out there with my vaterra ascender to get my parts - I was swapping out the 48p vaterra spur gear with associated 32p and slipper clutch parts. Some of the parts were a bust.. no fault to these guys, and when they looked the parts up they were discontinued. The gentleman at this store went above and way way beyond to help me get my rig running again... they went so far as to pull the parts they couldn't get me of of their own personal vaterra ascender which just blew my mind. 5 stars forever to this store and the owners/operators. ...
Read moreThe best hobby shop in west Michigan for Traxxas! They seriously have a great selection of parts for repairs, upgrades, and customizations. They also have THE most helpful and knowledgeable service counter of any hobby shop in West Michigan and the participate in Traxxas' "Power Up" program and pretty much always have the full lineup in stock. They also have the best prices on Traxxas cars, trucks, and buggies typically they seem to run about 5-10% under msrp. One of my slight gripes is that most of the parts are behind the counter and I generally prefer to find parts by looking for them myself as it often helps me remember all the other parts I need to grab that I would otherwise probably forget because #adultadhd but seriously go there buy stuff it's like a toy stores...
