Dunham's Sports — Attraction in Roseville

Easily the worst retail experience I've ever had. Stood at the firearm counter not seven feet from an associate(behind the counter) observing and cleaning a firearm. Was there about five awkward minutes waiting for the associate to at least greet my wife and I. Prior to going there I've done research for weeks regarding which AR 15 I wanted to purchase. Finally landed on the Smith and Wesson m&p sport 2. Which I believe they had for roughly $750. This was my first stop and after the awkward five minutes had passed we perused the rest of the store to see two other associates that but of course didn't even say hello. Back to the firearm counter to be ignored again. After reaching the height of our frustration we exited the building and called to speak with a manager that low and behold turns out to be the guy at the firearm counter! I explained to him our frustration and based on his tone of voice he couldn't possibly care any less. I'm a manager in retail of a location barely half a mile down the road from this building. Totally unacceptable service. I went in to buy a good pair of winter boots and it was not crowded at all. There were 2 people working in the shoe department that ignored me when I was looking. 1 then went to the back of the store it appeared they were doing inventory or something. I asked the remaining one for some info on which boots were the best for waterproof and warmth and was told he would have to ask someone. He came back and said nobody knows anything about them. I went here because I simply refuse to spend money at the overpriced place across the street and it's close to home. I guess the only thing left to do is make the trip farther away to a place I at least know I can get someone to help me. Just unbelievable how unfriendly and uncaring the employees are here. This is the worst location and worst service of any Dunham's store I've been to. I've only shopped here a handful of times over the last 10 years, and here's why: a few years ago I came in one morning looking for a tent. To my disbelief there were not only no customers, but no sales associates on the floor either! I made my way back through shipping and found 2 girls quietly having a smoke break. When I said I needed help in the camping supplies, they were rude and told me to go back into the store and wait. The help I requested never arrived. Just a few weeks ago I went there to buy nightcrawlers and apparently their cooler wasn't working because when I opened the door it wasn't cold at all and you could smell the dead and rotting worms inside.
