I’m honestly very confused by this trail. First, the location I was routed to was just a random parking lot, and the only trail I found was right along the side of the road. I had been expecting a more secluded, shaded trail since I avoid walking or running near busy roads. Despite my hesitation, I decided to give it a try, hoping it would improve after a while. Eventually, I did come across a more hidden, dedicated trail, but it was short-lived, and soon I was walking through a public playground.
Although passing through the playground wasn’t much of an an issue, after leaving it, I ended up on a random sidewalk in front of a church. According to Google Maps, I was still on the trail, but it didn’t feel like one at all. I kept going, hoping for another hidden section, but then I encountered a construction zone that forced me to trudge through mud to get around it. After that, I found another brief trail section, but it, too, was short-lived. I eventually reached a bridge that I would have had to walk around, and at that point, I decided to turn back, even though Google Maps indicated the trail continued beyond that.
I’m not sure if Google Maps is inaccurate about the length of this trail or if I somehow ended up at the wrong spot, but this is not an ideal or scenic place to walk, run, or hike. The only actual trail part lasted less than five minutes before leading me to playgrounds and sidewalks. I definitely won’t be...

There's several places to launch a kayak from, and another where you can rent one if you left yours at home.
The park has concession stands, a bandstand, a water park, and a good size playground.
One thing to note that there isn't an abundance of restrooms along the boardwalk section of this trail, so make sure you do your...
Read moreNice walk. Doesn't directly connect to anything as far as amenities are concerned, however, so best to figure out a good route to get back to your starting point. You can theoretically walk for miles, depending on where you begin, though the most worthwhile area are the wetlands closer to the beginning. Doesn't loop, from what I saw, so you'll likely have to turn around at some point. Lots of people riding bicycles, though most are...
