During a recent visit to Verizon’s Rowley location, I was denied access to my own account following an upgrade. Employee Marcus insisted on re-entering my security code, which I repeated accurately; however, he reported it as “invalid” and my account was subsequently locked.
Despite multiple assurances from Marcus that he was “working on restoring access,” no corrective action was taken. I was left unable to log in, unable to report a stolen iPhone on the account, and still exposed to ongoing billing for services I cannot access. This creates both a customer security risk and a financial liability.
What is most disturbing is that the computer screen Marcus was using was turned away from me. I had no visibility into whether he was entering the correct phone number or credentials, or whether he was simply locking me out of my own account. This lack of transparency undermines confidence in the process and raises questions about both intent and integrity.
I will be filing a police report to document the stolen phone, and this review serves as an official record that Verizon, through this employee’s actions, obstructed my ability to secure and manage my account. Such failures undermine customer trust and expose clients to...
Read moreI have been a Verizon customer for over 10 yrs . I had the worst experience at the Rowley store today , My phone was showing sim failure yesterday , I did everything it said to do on the Verizon app still nothing . I called Verizon in Rowley the salesperson told me to come . I went right to the store . That same salesperson looked at my phone in about 5 min and said oh you need a new phone . We have a couple of good plans going on right now . I asked can’t you just put a new SIM card . Oh no he responds . It’s not the card it’s what reads the card , I can give you a new phone for $1200.00 and you will get a credit for $830.00 or you can pay it off for $430.00 and just buy a new one for about $1200.00. You monthly bill will increase about 30 plus dollars a month plus tax . I am living on SS. I felt as though I was being taken so I left . I came home and called Verizon and they apologized a number of times and fixed my problem over the phone .. my complaint is not about Verizon but the Rowley store just trying to scam me to buy a new phone . I called the manager . He sends...
Read moreI’m not one to write a review and complain, but I had to in this case. I had just had a useless experience and time wasted. We got no real help. The representative acted like we were taking up his time playing on his phone (there was no one else in the store, I know why now!). Instead of helping he tried to sell us an early upgrade and sell us all things we weren’t there for. When we explained we we just want the phone fixed or replaced (it’s a tech issue, not a cracked screen) we were told to get ready to be in the phone for a long time then!! Then proceeds to tell my stepdaughter to call acting like me if I couldn’t do it during the the next day. Since according to this rep, “ the phone rep wouldn’t know any better”.. ummm who does that?!? Really?!? How’s about we go to a real Verizon store that actually helps its customers with tech issues! Don’t bother with this place if you have a real problem...
