EDIT: Appears to be under new management. Employees are less than thrilled to take your order and the food and service have gone downhill. The review below is no longer relevant.
I have probably eaten here over well over a hundred times, since it's so close to work. The owner is extremely nice and willing to go above and beyond for you, especially if you come in regularly. Personally, I think some of the menu items are pretty standard, but some things are easily the best I have had from a pizza place. Specifically, the pasta, subs, salads, and steak tips are all fantastic and the roast beef and pastrami are well above average.
I give them 4 instead of 5 stars for a few reasons. First, the service is a little inconsistent. This is likely due to a seemingly unusually high turnover rate, meaning that at least 1 or 2 people there are probably new at any given time. The second is because the prices are a little high for some of the items, so the value is just ok. That said, the daily deals (like half price pasta Wednesday, etc.) are great and make getting more pasta than you you should eat in a single sitting, half a big loaf of garlic bread, and a drink for $6 possible.
Overall, it's my favorite hole in the wall pizza joint, and it seriously outclasses the likes of...
Read moreThey guaranteed the pizza was gluten free, even when we called, after it was delivered, to report that it didn't look like g.f. crust we're used to. They reassured us it was in fact gluten free pizza. I got sick and called back the next day. Before reporting the issue, I simply asked what crust they use for their g.f. pizza. They proceeded to describe a crust that was completely different than what I ate. I explained they had made an error the night before, and they put me on hold. Another person came on the line and tried denying they were the restaurant we ordered from. They said no one had ordered gluten free pizza and I must be mistaken. Luckily we paid with a credit card and still have the receipt, proving they are in fact the restaurant who took our order and it was in writing a gluten free pizza order. I will never go here again and can't believe they would be so careless and then so dishonest. Too bad I can't give negative stars for...
Read moreWith football season fast approaching, I wanted to give a new pizza shop a try and I’m glad I landed on Rowley House of Pizza. We had a fantasy football draft so I knew the guys would be hungry. RHOP went above and beyond to showcase their most delicious pizza and calzones they have.
It’s not just all about the food either. It’s about the service as well. Xhengo and his family work at a great speed, greeting customers with a smile as they walk in. Olivia was working the register and was doing an amazing job handling phone calls, in person orders, and maintaining conversation with the patrons.
I will be 100% back and it anyone in the North Shore, they should give them a try. An added bonus for those who go to the Topsfield Fair, they are just a couple minutes...
