Very nice park with a large playscape - there are slides and climbing areas for kids of all ages. There is a center “pillar” in middle to get to the largest slide that has a bunch of images printed so visibility is hard; difficult to keep eye on your child unless you in the scape yourself. Also you have to climb a series of ropes vs stairs to get to several of the slides. My littles were intimidated by the rope bridges at first etc and had to warm up to it.
I liked that there was soft padding to run on; seating near each area (sandbox, swings, playscape etc); and covered pavilion that you can reserve for events. Also a large handicap, assessable porta potty next to the basketball court. Parking seems limited but I was able to park right on the street and cross right over.
Downsides are that I wish there were more shaded areas; the sandbox is rather small with most of the sand out on the pathway; there is only 1 swing set which is a bummer because that’s always a favorite for kids; and no...
Read moreThis park was fun for the kiddos, however for an inclusive park it was missing some basic features. It was missing any sort of bathroom facilities. So be mindful of this and use the loo before going. Fortunately there was a lot of construction on the street and therefore a porta-potty, but I'm not sure how someone with a physical disability or is wheelchair bound would be accommodated. There is no drinking/water fountain, so remember to bring a water bottle. There is an exercise area, a baseball diamond, and a basketball court, so it's very odd that there isn't anywhere to...
Read moreFun design to the playground! Mostly a neighborhood park (accessible by walking or biking), but it's possible to park along the streets and in the gravel on Parent Avenue to the north. There's the playground, a pavilion, some swings up on the hill, and a sand pit area with toys. Also had a free bathroom "Throne" and other things like a basketball court. I took away a star because I prefer higher visibility (quickly see my kids at any minute) and the tower section of the playground...
