I equate it to a stronger version of the fast food place Wendy's and their frosty (x) coffee except somehow much better. This place is a true hidden gem.

Visit here about once per week with the sole intention of purchasing an apple fritter. Their apple fritters are absolutely tremendous. Crisp outside, perfectly fluffy inside with lots of apple and cinnamon. They’re a delight. My love for their apple fritters should not dissuade you from the other donuts. Every single donut I’ve tried has been fantastic. And everyone is so friendly.

Everything was so fresh! Easily the best apple fritter I’ve ever had, so much apple and the crispy edges were dynamite. The sour cream glazed and original glazed were incredible. Highly recommend!

Best fritter in Michigan. My wife and I have been searching for the best donuts in Michigan and we love Dutch Girl and Apple Fritter Shop BUT Main Donut Shop is the clear winner. Everything was so fresh! Easily the best apple fritter I’ve ever had, so much apple and the crispy edges were dynamite. The sour cream glazed and original glazed were incredible. Highly recommend!

As a self-proclaimed donut snob, I'm always on the hunt for that perfect bite — and after living in Brooklyn for 15 years, I thought I’d never find anything that could rival my old favorite, Dunwell Donuts in Brooklyn NY. That is, until I discovered Main Donut Shop in Royal Oak. This place is every bit as good — honestly, maybe even better. The donuts are fresh, perfectly balanced, and made with serious love. You can truly taste the difference. On top of that, the owners are incredibly sweet and welcoming. I love supporting a family-run business, especially one that puts so much care into what they do. If you haven’t checked out Main Donut Shop yet, you are seriously missing out. This is a hidden gem in Royal Oak that absolutely deserves...

Best Fat Tuesday fix in Metro Detroit & Best place to find donut holes! 🍩 I've tried them all, and Main Donut Shop's donut holes are the best! They're better than Tim Horton's, Dunkin' Donuts, The Donut Cutter, and even Krispy Kreme. 😱 Krispy Kreme doesn't even make their donut holes fresh every day, despite what they claim. 😡 Main Donut Shop uses an old school recipe that sticks to the basics, and it creates the perfect donut hole. 🤤 They're not too sugary, and they have the perfect amount of chewiness. And for $3, you get a dozen donut holes! 😱 That's a great deal! #DonutLover #DonutHoles...

First, I have a peanut allergy, and its incredibly hard to find places that I can eat at. Knowing that I can have hand-made donuts with no fear of a reaction is so incredible!

Secondly, the Pączkis were to DIE for. I had never heard of them until this year (not being from the area until this past December), and now I refuse to go anywhere else.

Thirdly, the servers are so nice! Just today we were chatting (particularly about the Pączkis and them being made) and it was overall just such a pleasant experience.

Easily becoming a hot spot for me and my boyfriend, and everyone...
