I was at a Star Wars themed surprise 50th birthday party where there was supposed to be a 45 minute skit by 4 costumed actors supplied by POTTC. Only 1 actor showed up as Darth Vader and in desperation brought his wife who dressed as a storm trooper. There was no skit and the sole actor was able to do nothing. Their Google ad says "What makes an event successful? Deliver what you advertise. At POTTC events that's precisely what we do" (see photo on their ad) My friend was assured by them over and over about how happy he'd be and what a great job they would do. Not even close!! We would not leave a review if they had done the right thing and refunded the money - my friend only received a partial refund. In an effort to go above and beyond normal review writing procedures, I leave this last update;
After re-reviewing the forms initially sent, I have indeed found the clause detailing the necessity of the required insurance was written before I was charged the $60 fee. My own negligence was the reason I lost $30. I still hold the stance that if no service was rendered, all money should be refunded, but fine print is fine print and that's that. Being that the print is so fine I leave one note to all future vendors that intend to work with POTTC, be prepared & don't forget to read the fine print.
