This is a large park with multiple playgrounds, a pool, volleyball, basketball, baseball, a dog park, skate park and various gazebos for picnics. It's nicely spread out and there's a paved walking path that circles the park. During the holiday season they have a light / Christmas decoration display after dark where cars can drive through. I can't vouch on this experience but I've seen some of the wooden decorations during the day and they seem entertaining and looks like they've put a lot of time getting this setup. My only negative comment for the park is the first time I tried to go it was Sunday around 1pm and all 3 gates were closed. The sign said the winter hours were until (I believe) 4pm so I was confused as to why all the parking was blocked off. I know they had Christmas lights at night but this was hours earlier. Their website didn't say anything about being closed and it was disappointing since I'd driven from Somerset to explore the park. Every other time I've had a nice visit at this park! Read moreLiked how the equipment was under the trees with plenty of shade. The equipment is pretty nice, too.
However, the equipment isn't well installed or padded. Everything was up way too high. My 8 year old needed a boost to reach some equipment, and outright lifted to others. Also, the ground beneath is hard packed dirt. So, when he had a little fall (as will happen sometimes), there was nothing to really absorb the impact.
