So, I was surfing the net, and found myself at mainstage. I was surprised to find they had restored some of the BOGO offers that had been missing, AND reduced the price of some of the top shelf brands. BUT I also noticed that the price of the store brands were raised from their previous pricing of $20-25 up to $40. SO it looks like they brought the price of top shelf down, but raised the price of mid shelf to make up the difference. I can tell you from experience that the "Mainstage" brands are nowhere near top shelf, and certainly are ridiculous priced at $40. Mainstage continues to be the dispensary I avoid. If youre looking for a good deal try moving down the street to Vibe on Alpine. --- I was using this dispensary regularly. They offered reasonable deals and had a good selection. HOWEVER, lately, the quality has begun to slide. They are offering weekly deals, without weed to fill the deals. They are offering BOGO deals, when they dont have any stock in the brands on deal. I am extremely disappointed that this dispensary has started to slide. Why would I drive crosstown, when I can get the same thing in my own neighborhood for the same price? AND I wanted to add, that they have now gone to an almost exclusive "dealers choice" for all of their deals, removing the last reason to shop here. It's not a deal, if THEY decide what you get. I have really bad social anxiety as it is & I was originally going in to buy 2 grams to try to cheer myself up. I do not normally post bad reviews but the bud tender that helped me was very unhelpful to the point where I barely made it to my car to cry. I feel as though John was trying to purposely make me feel “on the spot.” The whole interaction began with me not having enough physical money for 2 grams. I was only off by almost 2 dollars which I was trying to explain that I had wanted to use my credits but John kept trying to get me to “just pay.” So I was kindly asking if there were any options like splitting the transaction or using 2 payment methods, which I understand weren’t possible so I’m not upset at the fact that I did not have enough physical cash because that would be ridiculous of me to be upset about. It was how I felt in the shift of energy as soon as I asked for “wvy brand” wax as it’s the more budget friendly option for me. As I was asking if there was a “tap” option, John went to gossip with a female coworker, leaving me talking to myself which felt humiliating. I still think the situation could’ve been handled better in the first place, BUT I want to give them credit for making an effort to make things right. Original: I came in as someone new to cannabis looking for guidance, but I left feeling completely taken advantage of. The music was obnoxiously loud, making it hard to even have a conversation. They sold me a cartridge and battery that were incompatible, didn’t work at all. When I asked for an exchange or return, they flat-out refused and only offered a 25% discount — not nearly enough to make it right. Refused to contact any higher ups. I came in logically, sure don’t refund the cart but exchange the battery at least, give me a significant discount if I have to purchase something compatible. Nope.
