My wife and son and I walk our dogs here every day. The park is kept in exemplary shape! We go quite early sometimes and there are people that love to enjoy the 10 acres of plush, fresh-cut green grass and the cool water area or the huge jungle gym/sand pit for the kids but do not like to be respectful and clean-up afterward. The park employees (and nice, random patrons) hop right in and have it in tip-top-shape before most are even awake. Kudos to all involved because this is a 9/10, 4½ star, 90/100 (our ratings) park right here in the Arden-Arcade area. Enjoy the many shade trees over the thick healthy grass while playing frisbee, football, catch, etc. You can even play some basketball on the full, netted court, some H-O-R-S-E on the half-court with your friends and family...even throw down a game of volleyball in the full sand court. Also, the park is dog friendly with a leash and please clean up after those 4-legged friends...not fun to get a surprise "grumpy" on your shoe! We love this park and it's amenities every day and everyone should come and enjoy as well. BBQ on any of many built-in grills, sit at a covered or uncovered picnic table, play tennis on 2 courts or just throw down a blanket and chill in this summer sun. Enjoy your well spent tax dollars here from 7am till dusk and just PLEASE keep it clean and safe for all to enjoy...it's not too hard with all of the trash cans and recycling bins throughout. Lastly, you could reserve a spot for a birthday party, family reunion, outdoor work event or whatever you want and check for upcoming events in the large recreation building. Lots of parking too! I honestly don't work here but just thought that I would let you all know of...

Some people really have a problem with the things in red (see photo)

Leash laws exist so we ALL can visit parks and feel safe

Actual enforcement would be great

Maybe a more legible sign would help (I had to increase the brightness)

More benches/seating not near the tennis court would be appreciated.

Would also be great if all 7 area parks had restrooms instead of only 3 of 7 because we are all humans with basic biological needs and some of us would like to be able to visit the park for more than an hour or two.

Finally, people should consider that play is one thing, but try acknowledging that some of us don't have quiet at home and go into nature for a hint of peace and serenity. So please keep the shouting down, you can play and have a good time without shouting. Sensory sensitivities are real and consideration is...

Having been goimg to this park for 10 years, there have been many changes, most for the better. The bathrooms are well maintained, and a cleaning crew comes nightly. The man who locks up the gates is kind enough to walk around yelling that he is locking up so your vehicle doesn't get locked in. The rec center provides a reasonably priced after school program, school break camps and summer camp. The biggest cons of this park are the sand pit and volleyball pit. They are just attractive to neighborhood stray cats as giant litterboxes. The party area trashes are frequently disasters because people don't pick up after themselves. The biggest issue is the element of people who will hang out and smoke weed despite children playing. Fights and shootings have occurred in recent years because the neighborhood...

They have kid friendly safe water splashing in the summer, tennis courts, barbeque areas, picnic tables, exercise areas, restrooms, and nicely updated sanded walking areas. It was well maintained during my last visit. (Prior post) I went early with my dog at 6 am to run. There was litter out of the trash and insufficient lighting to be around certain areas of the park. I like this park and wish others would clean up after themselves to make it a better and safe place for all to enjoy.
