Everything was delicious. I was very impressed despite the menu being smaller than many other restaurants. I absolutely loved that they had a choice of a salad sampler. You can pick 2 or 3 choices; we picked the Thai noodle salad and watermelon salad. My boyfriend devoured three thai noodles. The watermelon salad was really light and refreshing, I really loved that basil as well. It left a lingering freshness in your mouth. My daughter ordered a pepperoni pizza (no mushroom) and fries. The pepperoni was melt in your mouth perfection. The pizza however is pretty thin making it a bit flimsy so it required two hands even though there slices weren't huge but the bread was so light and delicious. The fries were so fresh, crispy, and perfectly salted. My boyfriend ordered the grilled flat iron steak...he is a steak connoisseur and he said it was PERFECT. I don't even think they asked how he would like his steak, so that says a lot. All the vegetables that came with his plate were perfectly seasoned and complemented the stead very well. I ordered the stir fry noodles and I was very impressed. The chicken was juicy, tender, and flavorful. I loved the bell peppers and spice level. (I can always go spicier but this was perfect)
The service was great. Our waitress was very pleasant and checked up on us just the right amount of times. She kept asking if I liked the wine (bc I wasn't drinking it because I was waiting for my meal) AND when they forgot and brought out our food, they forgot our fries but the waitress overheard and acknowledged and got our fries to us pretty quickly.
This place was recommended to us and we loved it. We definitely plan to go back. It's a hidden gem (right behind Ruth Chris' Steakhouse) and elf recommended to others.
The restrooms were clean, the atmosphere was really nice, and the restaurant set up was beautiful. There are outside and inside seating options and the choice of furniture for the restaurant gave a patio-like feel whether if you were inside or outside....
Read moreWent there twice for weekend brunch with families and a friend a while back. First time, I wasnât impressed and thought the food was overpriced for the portion size and for the deli like sandwiches. Due to time constraints, we opted to order from the deli counter instead of waiting for a waiter/waitress. The menu was way above our heads and it was hard to read. A line up was starting to build, but luckily I know what I usually like. The second time, same situation, but my young daughter was with us. She was not offered a kids menu. She wanted soup, but she also had a hard time reading the menu that was way above our heads. She ordered a salad thinking it was a soup (as the menu grouped them together). My daughter was shy and she asked me to help her change her order. So I asked the cashier if she can change it and the cashier said it was too late because the order was already sent. Luckily, a kitchen staff was right there and she advised the cashier that the order hasnât been picked up. They conversed for a minute or so and then the cashier commented in a condescending way, âWell, I told her it was a salad before.â By this time, my daughter was so distressed and embarrassed that she insisted privately to me that the salad was fine. I was very upset because I have this feeling that either the cashier was impatient and grumpy because we are visible minorities or she was never taught or trained to treat people with patience, dignity and understanding, especially when it comes to children. When our orders came out, my daughter and I...
Read moreWe ate lunch at the Pavilions location on Saturday, Oct 17. We were appalled by the lack of Covid rules enforcement. Many people (50%+ of non-seated patrons) were not wearing masks or wearing them with their nose exposed, even in the indoor parts of the restaurant and inside the restrooms. There was a table near us in the garden with 10+ people sitting close together, none wearing masks, and they did not arrive together, so not part of a single family. Management did no intervention with this group, even when they started walking repetitively through the Indoor part of the restaurant or back and forth from their table to the inside bar. One guy walked close by our table where we were eating unmasked no fewer than 10 times in less than 20 minutes, seriously! Overall, from what we could see, the employees were following protocols and our service was good, friendly. I ordered the chopped salad, which was mostly lettuce and dressing and missing most of the other ingredients listed on the menu. Double Cappuccino was watery, definitely not a double. Banh Mi sandwich and sweet potato fries were delicious. Good to mediocre restaurant experience, but we will not be coming back due to the lack of health and safety standards enforcement. We were out running errands pretty far from our house and assumed their outdoor garden area would be a safe choice for us. What a...
