The BEST store of its kind, in the region at least, with super friendly & knowledgeable staff. It seems I'm always running into the charm & comfort of Wes whose honest service I adore & value more than any, although just about everyone working there have been kind enough. (I'm positively sure he constantly gets acknowledged for it as he more than deserves the recognition. This is to show he gets mi upvote) He always makes sure I leave the store prepared as much as I possibly can be for everything I purchase. On top of that, he really knows his stufff. I called them a bumbumload of times for every little thing such as special ordering, items in stock, holding purchases, advice/tips assistance blah blah blahh and EVERY single time I was treated like an actual, live, breathing, awakening human customer in the shop who made the biggest purchase of our lives even when I didn't & I LOVE IT. They even call (back) to check/update with you. If they don't have something on shelf that you're questing for, they will be quick to assist you down all the possible paths to obtaining it including making personalized orders to get it for you or alternatives if your interest shifts after all the actually helpful & reliable information they have. Basically if you have any questions/concerns at all, don't hesitate to call/go in to ask because they have a lot to offer that many may not be aware about nor will they make you feel like sheep stool about it. I send others there all the time esp. to pick up whatever, & they also have great things to say about the place/people. Even the crowd at this one mind their own business but more than happy to share knowledge/advice without making you want to go Jigglypuff on 'em. They have a couple of private & an open(big) game room, bathrooms, competition, events, yadda yadda all the things you want in a game store. Prices are at retail so no complaints or even much to say there, but I just want to support them to keep their totally awesome customer service going. Blasted review that resulted from MAX LVL Satisfaction👍👍 Thank you, GEG. :DDDDDDD -smiles for the camera for a full...
Read moreGood selection of trading card games, good selection of tabletop rpg accessories, good selection of board games. They don't electronically catalogue their card inventory like some other shops so you'll be digging thru boxes, they have display cases and their pricing is in line with online marketplaces. Staff is friendly for the most part, knowledgeable for the most part but there's always an exception to this given the medium and the people who flock to it. Gamers don't always have great people skills, there's been a few occasions when I've left without making a purchase because the guy behind the desk was rude and indifferent and was obviously bothered that I wanted a card from the the display case, it was a $150 card that I was happy to buy elsewhere after dealing with him. But there's people like that everywhere you go. 9 times out of 10 I get great service.
Their location is not visible from any of the cross streets, you literally drive behind the plaza like you're making a delivery to a stores service entrance and there they are tucked away in the furthest reaches of the plaza, literally the far corner backside facing a fence and the backside of an apartment complex fence. The parking is sketchy in my opinion, that's why I don't attend Friday night magic there but they host gaming events and host rpg component construction/painting seminars. They sell typical gamer snacks so you don't have to leave, there's a gas station in the same plaza so you can get what you want to snack on...
Read moreI've been trading and shopping here for 10 years. Periodically when they hire the right people this place has great customer service for certain card games, and they offer relatively competitive value on high end trades. The issue for me is that it feels like it's managed by a tyrant I've had multiple good conversations with different front desk employees who have shared positive experiences but when wanting to do more or help in individual ways that they could offer they are shut down and not supported. I'm not a store owner and there could be very valid reasons for not supporting your employees. But I think I've seen the owner a few times and he has always been very shifty eyed and never introduced himself or said a word to me, I always feel like I'm getting very judgey looks 😅 that could be my fault but my thought here is that if you have a customer spending thousands of dollars a year in your LGS you should probably want to encourage the business because my goodness Amazon is cheaper than buying at this location in every category they sell. So with all this being said there are other LGS unfortunately further from my home where I choose to do business because of atmosphere and the way associates seem to...
