Well... it's the best place for music gear in town. I think it might be the only place for music gear in town. Getting help from the employees can be tough. The guitar people can only help with guitars. The sound/mixing people can only help with sound/mixing. Etc. So if there's one person working in the section you need help and they're busy, you stuck waiting. Not to mention they don't seem to care about how loud people play the instruments. You have to yell over mediocre guitar skills with a bad tone. The Guitar selection has gone down in the past 10 years. It used to be a good variety include Gibson/Epiphone Explorers, BC Rich Warbeasts, Ernie Ball St. Vincents. But now it's just a ton of Squire Strats and Epiphone Les Pauls. It makes sense because the expensive and/or exotic guitars don't sell as well. But dang, everything they have looks so samey. I just miss the old days. Guitar Center's website is the saving grace for this company. I cannot recommend that site enough. This crazy lady I know gives me grief because of how much time/money I...
Read moreThis store has let me down so many times, they never have anything you need, it’s over priced, or the employees have no clue what anything is. I went in there trying to buy an EQ Pedal that was on the shelf for sale for $69.99 and when I told the cashier I wanted it he said I couldn’t buy it and I had to wait 11 days to get this pedal. Absolutely absurd, makes zero sense, why is it on the shelf with a price tag if I’m not able to buy the item? The employee couldn’t give me a reason other than “I can’t sell it to you and you have to pick it up two weeks later” This is the third time something like this has happened and I’ll never go back to this store the employees suck and this store sucks. I walked into this store with a $100 bill and they tell me I can’t buy what I want? Have fun making money if you don’t sell items to customers. It’s a red headed male employee that has caused me issues the last 3 times I’ve gone in I’d say fire this kid and get an actual caring musician into this location before it goes bankrupt...
Read moreI stopped in to buy a piano for my niece. I wanted something cheap so I found the Harmony61 keyboard off of the clearance rack. I was in the keyboard area for at least 20 minutes, no one asked if we needed help. I brought the piano to the front to pay for it, and the person checking me out only cared about selling me a protection plan. $44 for $160 item. I don't do personal protection plans. I don't like them, and I'll never pay for them. I politely explained I wasn't interested. He tried 3 different ways of manipulating me into buying it. I continued to decline. He rolled his eyes at me. I asked him why he was making me feel horrible making a purchase and he said "I'm just doing my job man". and I replied, "That's not right." He then arrogantly said "It's how I eat". I left the piano on the desk and left. There are 100's of places I can buy a piano. I'll never shop here again. I used to always have Jack help me, and he would be ashamed if he were still here today and witnessed this. You should be ashamed of...
