The Wine Garden — Attraction in Saint Clair Shores

I have spent good money in this place for drinks and cigars. Up until today, all of the staff have been courteous and helpful.

Today, that track record ended….

Walked in with 36 returnables, Arizona Hard Ice Teas…as soon as I cleared the door this little short fella, (I reckon he may be the owner), first asks me how many I have and after I told him 36, he changed his tune and told me they don’t take returnables in black, plastic bags….because their employees are afraid “something” might be inside… I’m thinkin’….does this Clown-Shoe think I spiked the bag, (which I had JUST filled) with a scorpion or Brown Recluse? Then he tells me that the cans must be turned in with their “original container”… Hey, Einstein, this product is sold individually and has no “container”…. THEN, he says, “We don’t even sell that here”….after which I have to escort his little self to the cooler which holds it…. He says “white” bags are acceptable because the employees can “see” what is in the bag…anyone catchin a trend here?…. As if a spider, or bee could not be hidden INSIDE the doggone can. So I see some empty cardboard carriers, which by the way, ARE the exact type of “container” the product arrives at the store in, and I ask if I can use them….he says no. Well, as I told him. I will not spend another dime in that place and I will tell every person I can to avoid the store. As for “Shorty”, he can go eat a big, juicy bowl of raw Rocky Mountain...

I don't come to this store anymore. My son used to buy cigars from here and the owner was extremely rude to him. Actually more than just rude! He went in there to complain about a cigar he bought that had mold on it and the owner treated him like a piece of dirt. My son has Autism and isn't that good at explaining himself all the time. This owner not only booted my son from the store but he insulted him and told him "what's the matter with you are you a bit slow" my son came home after that and was hysterical! I asked what happened and he told me how the owner there called him slow. He also berated him in front of other customers which made him feel ostracized. I do not recommend ever giving business to this shop owner after the way he completely verbally broke down my...
