I am so appreciative of you all allowing me to take a few minutes of your time to talk about your store, employees, and products. As a new home owner, I find myself needing a hardware store almost weekly for the various projects I find myself getting into. Some of these projects require supplies, tools, and products I have no knowledge about at times. Sometimes I have no idea how to even complete these projects and find myself coming into the store and asking for help.
Each time I have come in, Susan has been a first contact saying ‘Hello” and “Welcome” and eager to help! Not only is this creating a welcoming experience, but also on the help in chosing the right tools, products, and accessories to help complete my projects. When Susan hasnt had the answer on my questions, she was quick to find and pull someone who did!
This makes being a new home owner a little relieved! Knowing we can trust the team and not be over sold on items not needed is a frequent fear of mine that I honestly don’t feel necessary to worry much about when shopping in your store, and having Susan and your staff leading the way on getting answers.
Could you do me a favor and let Susan know that she is amazing, and the other staff know how grateful for their continuous help when shopping they give? That would be awesome if you could just let your staff know to keep up the great work! I will continue to send more customers your way, and will also continue to be excited to see your team when I come in next!
Again, thank you for this time and please know how wonderful it is to have a business thats family friendly and honest as it goes a long way and us customers will never forget that! And also as a fellow business owner, I will keep spreading that good news with my own...
Read moreWas purchasing some bug and fungicide for my lawn, and chose one for $9.99 along with some lawn bags. Checked out and saw it rung up for $21.99 after I got my receipt, and told the cashier who called for another associate. That associate confirmed it happens a lot and did see the label was wrong, then took it out and explained to me how it's for a different product and the difference in what those products do like I was ignorant for not knowing. I told him I just saw the price and grabbed the product, and asked if they would honor the price since the label was there. He got defensive and said no they can't do that, so I asked for a refund. We walked up, and he grabbed the item and said wait a minute, then came back and said it was their fault, and when I asked if that meant they would honor the price then he said they'll just do the refund complaining that the price was lower than their cost. Well they just lost a customer, and I just gave them a 5 star review 2 months ago and have been trying to support my local business even though they are more expensive. I had been using Ace as my go to for all my yard care tools and items, but Menards has my...
Read moreHorrible customer service. Don't ever take your snowbower here to be repaired. We took ours in before the season for a minor repair. Took them much longer than they said it would. When we got it back it still wasn't fixed even though they had it for about six weeks. That cost $60. Took it back again. We were told it would be looked at immediately as the guy knew they didn't fix it the first time. Told us we'd hear something from them by the end of the week. Week later we called and they hadn't looked at it yet. Another week later, we called again and were told no parts were ordered. Another week, we called again, we were told that everything we've been told all along wasn't true. They were ordering a part that day. Now here we are a few days later and we get a call they are finally done and to pick it up as soon as possible. The bill - twice what the original bill was. We always support small businesses when we can - this is one small business that clearly either doesn't know how to manage personnel so they're all on the same page, or they simply don't care about customer service. Worst service we've seen in...
