Rested Pillow Mattress — Attraction in Saint Joseph Charter Township

After months of trying/pricing out mattresses and months of doing online research about those said mattresses-most to negative long term reviews, I stumbled across a small business in St. Joseph, Michigan called Rested Pillow Mattress and I am SO happy that I did. From my first conversation with the owner, this company was different from the rest...and I mean 'amazingly good' different! I was able to tell Allison the brand/line of mattresses I had tried out and liked. She helped me research the details/qualities of what those specific mattresses had which helped me identify which of the rested pillow mattresses would be best. We had numerous conversations and emails prior to purchasing and I never felt pressured or heard one sales pitch; just genuine attentiveness to finding me the mattress I was looking for. These are folks who know and believe in and are proud of their product. I purchased their Sunnyside mattress having never laid on it before, and had it shipped from MI to MA (free ship btw) and it is EXACTLY the right mattress for me/us. I wasn't even anxious about it, which if you knew me you would know that i can agonize over details of even much smaller purchases. This is what makes Rested Pillow so different from the others. Soon after my first conversation, I knew this was someone I wanted to do business with. I could hear confidence in their product, and this gave me peace of mind. I definitely do my research when making a purchase and am NEVER okay settling for something less than what I want. I have a pretty high bar for quality and customer service and can be particular and discerning and not easy by any means, yet I can honestly say I feel SO content and happy with this purchase. After years of knowing I needed a new mattress and tossing and turning at night and or being woken up by my partner tossing and turning, we are both crazy excited and appreciative to be sleeping on the perfect mattress for us. I settle in to sleep so much easier. It doesn't take time to get comfortable...it just happens when I lay down. And neither of us is tossing and turning anymore...so our sleep is more constant, which has us both feeling more rested. We also purchased the pillows which have been game changers for us. We went with the rectangular pillows in the king-size and I wish I could describe the difference and what makes these so amazing...but I can't. All I can say is 'get them'(and the sheets too!!) And FYI the mattress, sheets and pillows together (in all their luxury) from Rested Pillow cost less than just the mattresses alone we were pricing out before finding this wonderful company. Thanks to Allison and Rested pillow for making this a stress-free process and for the time and patience to hear what I needed/wanted in a mattress and pulling it all together so timely and efficiently!...

I was on a very long journey with finding the perfect mattress, and have found it! It’s been two months, and I still am happy with it! I went from a $3000+ Beautyrest Black which turned out to be a defect and sagged horribly within 2 weeks. I looked all over Reddit desperately and read of someone that bought from Rested Pillow and gave rave reviews. I am from Oregon, and risked ordering online but was so happy I did! I ordered a queen sized Sunny Side Up mattress in natural latex firm. I have a lot of back pain and need lots of support. I was looking for an extra firm mattress with good coils, memory foam layer, and still had a cushiony top! I loved the idea of being able to buy a new foam insert after it is needed to be replaced ( hopefully in years). The zippered top is very plush but felt high quality. When it came to my house, I let it decompress for a few hours, but didn’t feel the full maximum decompression until a few days later. It kept firming up over the first week, which is a very good thing! During this whole time, I have had the most amazing communication with Jenifer from the beginning. I called the store before ordering and she took her time to answer all my questions. She also helped me with setting up a 18 month financing plan with no interest, which was super helpful. The day that it was going to arrive, I received a text message offering help if needed. 7 days later, another message to ask how it was going. I really appreciated that. It’s been about two months now, no sagging, and I am not waking up with horrible back pain anymore! It’s still firm and I feel like there’s a good resistance. The most important thing for me is when I lie on my back, I feel like it pushes up against my back and molds to my body well with no gaps. I feel like over time, it has done a good job with that. I’m a heavy stomach/side sleeper but end up on my back sometimes. It’s supportive enough for stomach sleeping as it doesn’t force my back to be arched since it has great support, and it hasn’t sagged at all! It’s softened naturally and is molding to my body better. I am planning to continue to rotate once a month, and I do notice that helps since it gives the bottom of the bed a month to decompress some more before you rotate. I am also really happy to help a small family business. Because it is a small family business, I feel like there is more care with customer service and emphasis and pride in quality mattresses. Update: 9 months later and...

Shopping with Rested Pillow is so much more than just getting a new mattress. Their staff truly cares about what you are looking for, helping you stick to your budget, and making sure you are 100% satisfied with everything! To them every single part of what they do is important - your shopping experience, delivery, value as well as the best quality products!

The last time my husband and I purchased a mattress, it was from a department store a few years ago. We took all the kids to the store, tried laying on the mattresses for several minutes and couldn't make a decision easily. There were so many confusing sale options and the sales person (who was obviously working on a commission) floated between us and a few other people at the same time so it was hard to get answers quickly (or truthfully probably). We ended up having to go back another time to finish making our decision and was a big hassle. Then, after just a few months, our mattress ended up getting a huge ridge down the middle of the bed, and stopped being as comfy as it was in the showroom. We felt a little tricked and defeated. It was not a cheap purchase, but we ended up with something that was okay but definitely not great.

This time, we needed a new mattress for one of our kids. We live a couple hours away so we talked through options with Jenifer on the phone. She listened and asked questions to better help us, and then came up with three options that she provided over email for us to look at when it was convenient for us. We felt confident enough with her suggestions that we decided on replacing two of our mattresses instead of one! The mattresses arrived exactly on time as promised and wow - they are a great product! I never thought I would buy a mattress strictly over the phone. Now I know I would again - ONLY if I were buying it from the Rested Pillow! What an AMAZING experience and now we think we might replace our department store mattress sooner than we planned so that we can get a mattress as nice as the ones our kids are sleeping on! We have been telling all of our family and friends how great the entire experience was and how our kids love going to bed now! Thank you so much for taking the stress out of replacing a mattress! We will never shop...
