Bought the Schroeder Company/Family Reputation for About $600 No, no , no , no , AND no. This is not the place to do business. Our experience was horrid.
We were lied to about delivery dates multiple times. That seems a standard practice. Here's what we experienced:
Alisa, the sales person lied - claimed 4 weeks for cloth-covered special order was THE RULE;
the office lied (when we called about lack of delivery in 4 weeks): a) said sales people regularly lie about delivery in 4 weeks; b) promised to fix that salesperson lie, and REAL delivery is six week;
delivery finally happened in 7-ish weeks.
The quality of the stuffing of the pillows and the tautness of the cording trim was much lower than the showroom model, but not so low as to promote the idea of a lawsuit (would 'a' cost more to sue than the price of the sofa).
The delivery crew was very late, understaffed, underequipped, and scuffed the walls while delivering.
These people claim to care 'cuz it's "the Schroeder family name." During our visit, our salesperson, Alisa, pointed to some random guy and claimed he was "the current Schroeder" - yikes - embarrassing to THAT GUY!?!
All in all, we feel we paid about $1500 for a $900 sofa, and were lied to all the way about delivery. We will NEVER buy from Schroeder's again and will spread widely the word of our disappointing experience.
P.S. After sharing this review with my wife, I was advised to add that at a bit over a month old, the "extra-high quality" fabric to which we were upsold is already...
Read moreWe purchased a La-Z-Boy leather sectional from Schroeder Furniture in the fall of 2019. Delivery was put back and put back but the couch was finally delivered in December of 2019. From the time we got it, recliner ends were very hard to recline, and made awful noises. I called Schroeder and they sent service out to take a look. He said it needed a new foot mechanism and he would get it ordered and when it was in, he would have to pick up the piece and take it back to the shop to replace. He only looked at the one side, never paying any attention to the other end which also seemed "loose". Another wait of weeks, and finally when the part came in, the service guy and another man came to the house to pick it up, only the have the other man (owner ??) say it just needed adjustment to the tension of the foot rest. He adjusted both ends which ended that problem. But today after cleaning with the leather cleaner provided, I see wear in the actual leather on the cushion on one side. This side also had wear on the foot rest at the top edge. Both ends of the recliners are used however only this side shows any discoloration which seems odd. So I called Schroeder, only to find out it would cost me $60 just to have them come look at it and then they would send the report to La-Z-Boy which only has a warranty of 1 year so probably nothing would be done!! This sectional was over $5k and we've had it less than 14 months!!! I will shop elsewhere...

I had no problems until almost 3 months later my nightstand finally came in but it was the nightstand that matched the bedroom set in another room that THEIR saleslady ordered! They took no account ability for THEIR mistke and when one of the delivery drivers called the store i could hear a woman saying that " i must have ordered the wrong one" Their salesladies came to my home measured my bedroom and put the order in!No ONE ELSE ! They ordered the wrong nightstand and took no account ability for it with me! I highly recommend if you want professional service shop elsewhere! No it was NEVER resolved! I have a nightstand in my bedroom now that belongs to the other bedroom set i ordered instead of what i paid for thanks to you people! Be aware people Schroeder furniture has NEVER resolved this issue or bothered to make it right or apologize! Your SALESLADY ordered the wrong one! And as far as you wanting to make it right why haven't you contacted me about this but only now that I write a review you act like you care! You knew what happened and didn't care! Day 5 sunce i wrote the review and yet the owner who was so concerned to post he would like to make it right still hasn't reached out! Seems like once this store gets your money your problem is just that!...
