Since older reviews mention the park being “clean,” I have an unfortunate update to provide. We have been visiting the park weekly for the past three years and it has only been getting dirtier. Some of the dated playground equipment is starting to rust or has foul graffiti. The sandy area is becoming overgrown with plants. There is often litter strewn about the park. The water fountain is undrinkable, with nasty greenish water.
It appears that Bank Cherokee and the City have neglected the park, and on behalf of the residents who use it, I wish it were otherwise.
Do my kids notice these things? No, they just enjoy the park. So that’s the silver lining, I guess!
