If I could give no stars, I would! Horrible! Went for the $25 16oz prime rib at around 6pm. To be fair, I was warned about the prime rib being cold before we went. First, we placed our orders, both prime rib We waited about 15 minutes and our salad showed up. Coincidentally, so did our main course at the exact same moment. We started with the salad which led to the hot food being cold. Of course. It was a generous salad that we enjoyed except for the croutons, which were mushy.!? Second, we both received two chunks of meat(as if someone tried to add more to equal the correct weight), none of which looked anything like prime rib. Both were supposed to be medium rare, they were well done. The flavor was a beef jerky marinade flavor that was anything but flavorful. Only butter knives were provided for these tough pieces of meat. The augratin potato's were made with a cheese whiz type cheese, which left a bad taste in our mouths. The green beans were tiny cuts of beans that you needed a spoon to eat. We also ordered chicken fingers that didn't fare very well either. They were dark brown indicating that the fryer oil was long overdue for changing, and the taste confirmed our suspicions. Besides the salad which was somewhat decent, this was a huge disappointment from start to go. I can honestly say that I have never left prime rib on my plate uneaten ever in my life. Look, maybe this isn't their niche menu item/s, but, at least try to do better. If you are going to sell prime rib, perfect your recipe and make sure your kitchen staff is following the recipe every time. I've made prime rib multiple times and, I can assure you, it's never been this bad. As for anyone reading this, this is just our opinion and our opinion alone, hopefully. To the owner, send a mystery shopper in there to see if we are wrong, someone who would be honest. You deserve to know if someone is not using the correct recipes. Finally, just because we were extremely disappointed doesn't mean you will be. Give it one chance to earn your next visit. We did, and...
Read moreStopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The restaurant was plenty busy even though we got there a couple minutes after it opened. We sat in the small dining area and it was cute. Lots of stuff to look at on the walls, which I like. The server was friendly and quick to take our order.
I tried the pocket French toast. I thought it was pretty good! Some of the blueberries didn’t taste great (heard the sever say they use all frozen fruit)but the French toast and filling were good. My husband had the Cajun breakfast and he liked it! Can’t beat the price!
We were looking at the daily specials and are excited to come back to the Friday...
Read moreOur biking gang used to go there regularly before old Billy completed his eathrly journey. The coney dogs were awesome and we drove 100 miles round trip for those! We loved the unpretentious. blue collar atmosphere! What added to the joy of anticipation of stopping in after a ride was that we never knew what was on the menu for Saturday...loved the surprise and were never disappointed. We will go there this summer and hoist a beer to remember Billy, who introduced us this place a quarter of a...
