I had the opportunity to visit Lutheran Seminary, where several Indonesian preachers are currently studying. I really appreciated the peaceful neighborhood which is full of trees and green spaces, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. During my visit, I toured the dormitory, which featured a clean and well-organized common area. I was especially impressed by the space near the dining hall, with plenty of tables that make it easy for students and guests to enjoy meals together. I also visited the beautiful sanctuary, where students typically gather for Wednesday services. It was an inspiring and meaningful experience. Overall, it was a wonderful visit, and I hope others get the chance to tour the campus and enjoy the same sense of peace and community that I did.

This is a response to the anonymous assertion that the seminary teaches that there are mistakes in the Bible. It happens that there are mistakes in the Bible. Some of the chains of "begats" in the Old Testament contradict each other. This is because rabbis hundreds of miles apart were mistaken about each other's lineages. There were also errors made intentionally in translating the Old Testament into Greek under the Ptolomaic Dynasty. Furthermore, some of what is written against Jeroboam and the Samaritan in the Old Testament and in the Talmud are bare-faced lies, written by Jews, including the entirety...

I graduated in 1971. I would not trade the education and overall experience for anything even if I had not become a pastor. It is education for life. The faculty was truly great. Dr Edmund Smits and many others were the greatest teachers I ever had. I support tuition free education and give money for it; it is what I had as my congregation paid what little tuition...
