I had the pleasure of visiting Pig's Eye Pottery, it was great. I was planning a team building activity remotely from another state and found out about this place online. When I called to get information and explain the dynamics of my group, Jason couldn't have been any more accommodating. He explained the process and reassured that participants didn't have to have prior experience to quickly learn. He scheduled a time blog for my group to come and even gave me recommendations for restaurant options close by we could go to after our session. The team enjoyed their time. Jason was a great teacher, made things fun and empowered the group to go all in and not be afraid of making mistakes. Over a month later and they are still talking about how much fun they had. Jason also went above and beyond and shipped our Pottery to the different out of state locations we lived in for a minimal fee. I hight recommend Pig's Eye Pottery for a team event, or even a fun night...
Read moreThis was a fantastic experience! Jason is very passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about his craft, and wastes no time diving into the lesson. For context, we booked this as a Christmas gift for our 14 year old, so my husband and I took her and a friend. We were the only ones in the class, and Jason was enthusiastic, personable and attentive - he absolutely wants to see everyone succeed at this! He expounded on techniques to make things we wanted to incorporate in the pieces (i.e., handles and plates) and taught us about the makeup of the clay and how he preps it, and it was an incredible crash course that left us all wanting to throw more on the wheel! Jason had us cracking up and we all had a blast, and we would go back weekly if we could. Would be great for a girls night out, date night or small gathering of friends. If you're on the fence, just do it - you absolutely won't...
Read moreThis was my second time participating in a pottery class here -- the first time was girls' night out for us older gals, and the second time I brought my youth development nonprofit group of pre-teen girls. It was absolutely perfect both times. What a beautiful space that feels immediately relaxing and inspiring, homey space to learn and create, and a gorgeous gallery full of pieces to explore (and buy) when you need a break from the wheel. Jason is a great teacher, making everyone feel like an artist and a natural. I don't know how he remembered everyone's name in such a big class, but he did! The girls in my group had so much fun and can't wait to see their glazed works of art. Highly recommend for a fun, hands-on, totally relaxed experience for any group -- kids, adults, corporate events, you name it. Would go back...
