I had the pleasure of visiting Pig's Eye Pottery, it was great. I was planning a team building activity remotely from another state and found out about this place online. When I called to get information and explain the dynamics of my group, Jason couldn't have been any more accommodating. He explained the process and reassured that participants didn't have to have prior experience to quickly learn. He scheduled a time blog for my group to come and even gave me recommendations for restaurant options close by we could go to after our session. The team enjoyed their time. Jason was a great teacher, made things fun and empowered the group to go all in and not be afraid of making mistakes. Over a month later and they are still talking about how much fun they had. Jason also went above and beyond and shipped our Pottery to the different out of state locations we lived in for a minimal fee. I hight recommend Pig's Eye Pottery for a team event, or even a fun night...

This was a fantastic experience! Jason is very passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about his craft, and wastes no time diving into the lesson. For context, we booked this as a Christmas gift for our 14 year old, so my husband and I took her and a friend. We were the only ones in the class, and Jason was enthusiastic, personable and attentive - he absolutely wants to see everyone succeed at this! He expounded on techniques to make things we wanted to incorporate in the pieces (i.e., handles and plates) and taught us about the makeup of the clay and how he preps it, and it was an incredible crash course that left us all wanting to throw more on the wheel! Jason had us cracking up and we all had a blast, and we would go back weekly if we could. Would be great for a girls night out, date night or small gathering of friends. If you're on the fence, just do it - you absolutely won't...

This was my second time participating in a pottery class here -- the first time was girls' night out for us older gals, and the second time I brought my youth development nonprofit group of pre-teen girls. It was absolutely perfect both times. What a beautiful space that feels immediately relaxing and inspiring, homey space to learn and create, and a gorgeous gallery full of pieces to explore (and buy) when you need a break from the wheel. Jason is a great teacher, making everyone feel like an artist and a natural. I don't know how he remembered everyone's name in such a big class, but he did! The girls in my group had so much fun and can't wait to see their glazed works of art. Highly recommend for a fun, hands-on, totally relaxed experience for any group -- kids, adults, corporate events, you name it. Would go back...

Jason hosted our women's social group for a fun pottery throwing night. He successfully navigated teaching 14 of us chatty unexperienced ladies, and we had a wonderful time with him. Jason's studio is set up beautifully and you can tell he puts care into managing his space. He makes everyone feel welcome and relaxed and uses humor to guide the instruction. He is thorough and does not mind repeating himself for those of us throwing pottery for the first time. Jason remembers everyone's names and can hold multiple conversations while he is in ten places at once helping everyone simultaneously with their projects. He let us set up a snack table with wine and made sure everyone was having a good time. We would highly recommend Pig's Eye Pottery as a great outing for any organization and any skill level.

Six out of five stars. Throwing pots with my family and friends was an unexpected joy—especially for my dad. Pretty sure he found a new career. Jason was an excellent instructor. He was very kind and patient with everyone; even with my six year old on a sugar high. The studio was easy to find with ample street parking. The exposed brick walls and art displays seemed to glow in the bright window light creating this very cozy and chill vibe. My favorite thing was the ginormous salt rock wall behind the pottery wheels. I can’t wait to pick up our pieces after they have been glazed and fired! We are already talking about booking our next class with Jason.

I cannot imagine a more unique and enjoyable outing for a team to celebrate the holidays together. Jason was an AMAZING teacher - patient, witty, encouraging, and (most importantly) incredibly talented. He made it look easy and encouraged each of us - from the least artistic (that'd be me) to the most (Traci and Sam) - to embrace our inner artist and create something beautiful. I am SO excited to pick up our pieces in a week or two. If you are looking for a fantastic event, outing, or gathering of friends and family, book a group class with Jason. You won't regret it!!
