Hi there. I hope all is well. This is going to be a long review (heads up!) I’ve been a long time customer of the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealership in Saint Robert. When it was Lindsay and now as Ed Morse. I am loyal when it comes to using the dealership for repairs. I’ll start at the beginning. I purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Ed Morse Chrysler Dodge in Saint Robert in July 2021. During the test drive, the Jeep had a vibration at 35-40 MPH. The dealership mechanics diagnosed the vibration as the drive shaft and motor mounts and fixed it. I bought the Jeep and all was well. Months down the road, my Jeep has a leak. I put cardboard underneath and had a mechanic friend look at it who noticed, only one motor mount had been replaced. I brought it to Ed Morse Saint Robert and let them know the motor mount was leaking hydraulic fluid and requested a replacement. When I came to pick up my vehicle, Ed Morse St Robert notified me the leak was a, “gasket cover leaking oil,” charged me my extended warranty deductible and sent me on my way. I was back two days later for the same leak. This time, Ed Morse St Robert agreed it was the motor mount. The dealership has been dead set on ordering OEM parts because, “OEM parts cover the part and the labor,” instead of ordering the part local (Napa, O’Reilly’s, Autozone) because, “after market only covers the part.” I understand this concept, but, my warranty covers the labor and my warranty covers the part. My warranty ALSO covers after market parts. Long story long, the dealership has been waiting 1 1/2 months for OEM parts instead of helping a customer drive sooner and ordering after market parts. I’ve called every week for a month and a half and I hear the same thing, “I’ll give you a call with an update.” I was down for two weeks with COVID and heard nothing. Today, was the final straw. My part was supposed to be in on this past Friday. I called today (Monday the 6th of June) and the dealership said hopefully this upcoming Friday. I went to the dealership and picked up my Jeep (after paying $33 for them to put my Jeep on the lift and verify they didn’t do their job the first time!) and took it elsewhere. At least they will have it COMPLETED this week.
I just want to make it known, Lindsay Chrysler Dodge always took good care of me. It seems like ever since Ed Morse took over, things have gone downhill. I was sold a Jeep that was hastily/lazily fixed. When I initially brought it in for the motor mount repair, I knew exactly what was wrong and was charged $100 deductible for an UNNECESSARY gasket cover. And when I brought it back in two days after the unnecessary gasket cover, for the motor mount repair, my Jeep sat there for over a month and I was charged $33 to diagnose the SAME EXACT leak. I am beyond frustrated because I like this dealership, I always have. I like to be loyal to the dealership. This entire situation makes me never want to give Ed Morse my business again.
I apologize for the long review. My situation was cause for a full explanation.
Edited to add: I was going to update the review and add some stars because the dealership tried to make this situation right. They cut me a check for the $33 diagnosis that the motor mount was never replaced and the $130 for the cost of what I’d paid at Big O Tires for the motor mount replacement. It took me a few days to get the receipt to the dealership because I was working. When I brought the receipt in, the service manager Steve had the nerve to say, “wondered what was taking so long. Figured you were too Richie Rich to bring it in.” Well sir, that was the cherry on top of the sundae and the third strike for me. I am so thankful that Ed Morse Dealership was willing to make things right with me. I was ready to bring my business back to Ed Morse, but that comment from Steve really stinks. I’ve always been loyal to this dealership, but now I never want to come back. Thanks Steve! You really definitely caused a loss...
Read moreBUYER BEWARE!!! We purchased a new 2022 Dodge 1500 Laramie in Sept of 2022. My husband received military orders for an overseas duty station and attempted to sell the vehicle. Unfortunately, the Carfax for the vehicle is showing a brandished title due to the dealership incorrectly inputting the receiving and sale mileage. After bringing this issue to the dealership, the sales manager and general manager stated it was an "easy fix" and it would take 30 days or more to correct. We are about to leave the area and are now in a bind. Since the original buyer refused to purchase due to their discrepancy, I asked the dealer to purchase it. Both the sales manager and general manager refused to purchase it back. It is completely ridiculous the dealer will not purchase a vehicle back after they made it impossible for me to sell in my time frame as well as my issue being entirely their fault. My vehicle is in perfect condition yet they don't want to purchase it?? Good luck to whoever deals with them in the future, although a quick drive to Springfield for a vehicle purchase would prevent a lot of headaches in your future. UPDATE: We received a response from the Attorney General's office regarding this. The general manager, Randy Nelson, put the blame back on us and the DMV for not noticing their mistake. I have to say, not taking responsibility for their actions not only cost us thousands of dollars but also shows the complete lack of character their dealership condones. In the future, I will read the entire title upon receipt due to their lack of attention to detail, but their dealership REFUSED to purchase the vehicle back at fair market value. Hmmmm....I wonder why? We are 27 years active duty and dealing with a business who doesn't care about customers other than the aspect of taking their money. I will NEVER purchase a vehicle from them ever again and am referring all military members to Springfield or Marshfield for a good deal. The Ford dealership we purchased from in Marshfield is outstanding and we should have got our truck from them. Hindsight is always 20/20 but unfortunately in St Robert, Missouri this is the type of...
Read moreThey use to be good until Ed Morse took over. I took my jeep in to get the radiator replaced and as soon as i drive off the lot I have a rattle noise in my front end that was not there when i brought my vehicle in(only had this for like 3 months) I explain this to the dealer and they tell me the sound is coming from my passenger side. I CLEARLY told them its not the noise on the right side but on the left! I bring it in for them to take a look and they spend 2 hours removing a marble from my passenger side. Thanks for that but i told them let me take a mechanic on the road so they can hear the sound and sure enough the mechanic hears the rattle im talking about. Back in the shop they are unable to find the cause of the rattle and tell me “well the radiator works fine so it cant be in relation to that”. Okay, but the noise was NOT there until they touched my radiator! Funny thing is the mechanic broke my evap hose during the radiator replacement and tried to silicone it back together rather then replace the part up front. i found many lose bolts on my front bumper that were not lose before. My bumper wasnt even pushed into place correctly. So now im stuck driving around with a rattle coming from my front end that the dealer expects me to pay for a new diagnoses to find. Yet they wasted 2 hours diagnosing an irrelevant issue and CAUSED the rattle. Whether it be from the radiator or a part they accidentally hit and loosened while replacing the radiator the dealership should be accountable and find and fix the issue! Ive been a valuable customer getting regular oil changes and maintenance and this is how they handle those valued customers. Ill be taking my Jeep to dodge in either Rolla or Lebanon from now on. Dont...
