Absolutely excellent service. Everyone was wonderful. The food was mostly great. I had the dol sot bibimbap. It was as great. Other things ordered at our table was the ramen, the bento box (chicken bulgolgi), chicken katsu, and shrimp tempura.
The bento box was great and came with SO MUCH. No complaints about the ramen, and the shrimp tempura was absolutely a hit.
The only thing we didn't like was the chicken katsu. It was not like any chicken katsu I've ever tried. It was small peices of seasoned (sweet like teriyaki) chicken. There was more breading than chicken and overall it just wasn't great. I don't recommend.
We went for dinner on a weeknight. Despite that, there were still several others dining in and grabbing take out when we arrived. The place was clean, service was fast/friendly, and the ambiance was nice. You pay at the counter, and dont get to review the bill before paying. I would really prefer to be able to see each item i am charged for, so honestly that was a negative for me. However, I would definitely go back! The staff was beyond friendly and that made up for...
Read moreThis was quite possibly one of the most underwhelming restaurants in St. Robert- and that's saying a lot.
The food is nowhere near as authentic or tasty as Cafe Korea across the street. The meat had a rotten smell to it, even while cooked, so that tells you that they don't use the freshest ingredients, nor do they use the right amount of seasonings on their food. We had ordered the beef bulgogi, which was terrible and seasoned with Teriyaki sauce, the fried rice, which even my kids commented "it doesn't taste like anything", and the Kkangpung chicken, which was the only redeeming dish of it all. The portions were minimal for the outrageous cost. I can see if you have Covid tastebuds, then you might like this place.
Our server was very short with us, almost like we were inconveniencing her at a time when they didn't even have 1/4 of the restaurant filled with patrons. We had high hopes for this place, and are saddened by...
Read moreAnother favorite and go to spot during my time at FLW. Accommodates large parties as I would bring many many many of my co-workers here for large post work dinners. The owner is extremely nice and kind, as we were once even a dollar short and he took it out of his own tip jar. We came back and tipped him extremely well the next day. This place is very authentic as well, serving their dolsat bimbap in a hot stone, serving banchan, and much more. Flavors are of traditional Korean style which me, being a Korean from NY, highly appreciates.
I cannot say anything bad about this place. Any bad reviews must not have Korean food on the regular because this place is absolutely amazing. Bring back in NY I miss this restaurant as me and my co workers would come here multiple times a week. It was our last meal together before we left FLW.
You need to stop by here and try their food. I recommend everything as it’s all freshly made...
