I had one of the best times I've ever had in my life. I got to take two of my godchildren there, and we had a blast. One of the godchildren was Marina, and the other was Dante. I mention Marina name first, because it's always ladies first and it shows no bearing on which one I love more than the other. one of the highlights was going to the booths and visiting Murphy's fireplace and stove which is the best place in town in my opinion for what it's worth to purchase a stove insert chimney Etc. That sounded like a commercial and I apologize. Another fun thing was walking around with the two young adults that I call my God children, there was so many smiles and so much laughter that it in larged my heart immensely. we finally had to split up because my old feeble legs in my 60s could not keep up with two 18 year old frisky people. I will never be able to share the amount of fun and the joy that I saw on their faces and in their hearts. It was truly amazing. there's a big story behind both people who are so near and dear to me and I want them to know how much they are loved!!! Once we split up I had the pleasure of walking for an hour and a half in a circle not knowing where I was and revisiting all of the same places and passing myself three or four times as well as the rides, but then again I am still finding the same Easter eggs I set out last year and the year before. All of the people that I met seem so very pleasant, but when you greet people with a smile it's amazing how many will smile back. we even played a game the three of us, smile at everyone you see and the first one who gets 20 Smiles in return wins? You get to guess who was first second or third, you might be surprised. it was a long fun day and we got home a little after 11:15 p.m.! the one sad feature was they did not have a rock o plane, of which I am so old I doubt there's anyone out there who even remembers a rock o plane! I also had them do a cell phone tracker on me in case I got lost, which I did. I'm just glad they didn't leave me hanging on the Buddy bar that you hang onto to try to win $100, yuck yuck. if you haven't been there you are missing out even if you're in your 60s or 70s! Lots to...
Read moreNot enough vendors this year, booth space so high that people can't afford to have a booth or make it back! State Fair charging too too much to make up for not being open last yr. passing that cost to vendors to the point they have to raise their prices & to customers is terrible!! I wasn't able to buy much at all due to that & we don't have kids I can only imagine for those families that do how hard it would be to say no to their child cause prices too high. Telling someone NO to bringing in ice chests with food/snacks & drinks. Is not ok were Diabetics, husband has lots of other health issues n were not gonna eat greasy fatty foods!!! Again prices ridiculous 😒!!!.. this was basically high way robbery to have fun & forgetting your problems, thank goodness I prepaid for entry & parking in handicap area...otherwise we would not have gone. I so remember the days of looking forward to the Oregon State Fair every year, & covid ruined it!! We wore our masks all day long OSHA was handing out huge tickets for people not wearing a mask!!! Price for that ticket out ways the fun wearing the mask, employee said when I asked why some are not wearing masks that when she told me bout handing out tickets! She stated they start out bout 7800.00 ouch.. we wore ours for...

Vaccine site was very well organized. People with disabilities were provided with a separate entrance & check in area where patients could take a seat as Vaccine volunteers entered each patients info into the computer.
This was my 2nd CoVid Vaccine. I did take advantage of the disabled entrance, because I am a stage 4 cancer survivor, so my experience may have been different than other people's. Based on my own participation in the vaccine clinic, my entire appointment lasted less than an hour, from pulling into the fair grounds, checking in to the clinic, getting my CoVid vaccine & then waiting the minimum of 15 minutes observation.
The observation area provided all patients with a chair to sit in as they waited the 15 or 30 minutes, depending on prior allergies to vaccines & other medications. At the front of the observation area there was a desk where a nurse was seated and ready to available...
