Frirndly vendors. Clean area. A musician provided good music in the eating area. This is a medium-sized farmers market. (3 or 4 times larger than our hometown one in Bellingham). There were plenty of vendors with a selection of handmade goods, jewelry, baby blankets, bakery items, wild meat, spices, jams, pickles, spiced nuts, popcorn, coffee, fruits, vegetables, freshly made cotton candy, and food vendors. It's not overcrowded. Many local vendors sell their homemade goods. There is a food vendor area with a few tables and chairs under shade. I'll estimate there were about 10 to 15 food vendors. We tried the BBQ. I bought Mediterranean food (to take home), pickles, jam, cherrys, zucchini, tomatoes, and fresh made bread. I only had an hour as we were traveling through the area, so I didn't see all the booths. I would return to this one if I lived in the area, but I live in Washington. There is street parking, which seems ample, I didn't notice if they had their own lot. We luckily found an RV parking space only two blocks away. We specifically searched to buy Mediterranean food from the Hummas Stop, which is the best I've had in many years. We had tried it in the Seaside...
Read moreThe Salem Saturday Market has a wonderful variety of vendors. The only negative I've found is a lack of a cheese vendor. There's fresh flowers, farm raised beef, the best milk you can find anywhere, and all kinds of hand-crafted goods. There's a vendor with farm raised exotic meat, ranging from bison to ostrich and just about everything in between. There's another meat vendor who does a $60 special that includes 6lbs of ground beef and two steaks and the steaks vary each week. Local honey, CBD vendors, multiple plant vendors, fresh veggies everywhere, and bakeries.
The food court is kind of small but they have a good variety of food. They have an amazing lemonade stand where they squeeze the lemons right in front of you and you can choose a traditional lemonade or you can real fruit added.
The atmosphere is so welcome and inviting. There are dogs and cats on leashes all over. People clean up after their animals and it's just a great place to visit and get your...
Read moreI visited Pacific North Wild at Saturday Market for the first time with the intention of purchasing a cat-themed tote and shirt. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon approaching the store, I was not greeted or acknowledged by the two staff members present. They were engaged in conversation with another group, and the interaction fell silent as I neared, only to resume after I walked away.
Basic courtesy, such as a simple greeting or acknowledgment, goes a long way in making customers feel welcome. It’s important that all patrons are treated with respect and not judged based on appearance or skin color. I hope the store considers this feedback to ensure a more inclusive and professional environment...
