Boba Boom — Restaurant in Salem

Dropped in while passing through town. Ordered a tiger milk tea. Asked for no ice. She said "no ice?" and tossed the ice in the sink. She added boba pearls then realized I had ordered popping boba instead. Dipped the ladle back in my cup, scooped out the boba and put it back in the big container of boba pearls. She took the cup in back, filled it and sealed it. I got in my car and realized that it was 1/3 full of ice. I figured it will melt because of the hot day, why make her make a new drink. After a few minutes on the road I got around to tasting it. It didn't taste like anything. The sauce was good and so were the poppings, but no tea taste whatsoever. I took off my sunglasses and realized that she must have made me a tiger milk, not a tiger milk tea like I ordered. Guess she wasn't really paying attention to a single thing I said. There were a few pearls in my drink and they were tasty but hard. Poor experience. Won't be spending nearly...

Great boba. Have been there multiple times. First time was off putting as they had no boba and we waited for about 15 minutes for the batch to finish. But we have gone back 3-4 more times and they never had the same problem. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because there has been a pallet full of in the lobby everytime we have gone and it is off putting to being able to lounge and play games. The lights are often very dim and it doesn't give the feeling that you want to stay and hang out. I think if they unload the pallet of supplies and turn the lights on maybe play some music it would make the environment much better.

Also if someone has never had boba they can be very confused at how to order. Maybe adding a step by step on how to order might garner more people who are...

I called in ahead however I don’t think it went through. Many say the staff is rude but I believe they are trying to understand us since they are not fluent in English. I loved the clean atmosphere and my drinks were ready within 10 minutes. Some of the reviews mentions waiting 20 plus minutes and I can assure you that when it’s only one person working you can only do so much so it’s one order at a time situation.
