DO NOT GET YOUR FILM DEVELOPED HERE! I seriously never write reviews, but my experience here was just beyond anything I’ve ever encountered. I went to Nepal for 3 months and filled up 5 rolls worth of film and was so excited to get it all developed when I got back. The film was ready to be picked up within a few days, but when I got home I realized that only 3 out of the 5 rolls of pictures were there. At the time the Salinas location’s phones were down too, so I had to call monterey to get information about Salina’s and they didn’t know what had happened to those 2 missing rolls either. I ended up driving back to the Salinas location (45mins away from me) to see if there had been a mistake and it wasn’t until I drove all the way back that I was told that 2 of my rolls had been destroyed… yeah. So they didn’t even bother to tell me this when I had initially picked it up and when I came back they just said that the scanner had gotten stuck and ruined the rolls (which I’m not even sure if that’s true because one of the negatives I got back just looked like it had been developed incorrectly). They gave me two free rolls in exchange as if that makes up for all the work that I had put into those photos. One of the employees told me that I should switch to digital because it’s more reliable which in that moment where I was so devastated just felt completely out of place and ignorant - I shoot film for a reason, I know digital exists. I know that film is delicate and there are places where mishaps can happen, but in the 6 years that I have been shooting with film I have never experienced such sloppy work and poor customer service. I left to collect myself because I was just so sad that all those photos had been wrecked, but then realized how messed up the whole situation was and decided to come back to the store and see if there was any way I could get more of a refund. That same employee was there so I began to voice my frustration and saying how this has never happened to me before and to see if I could get more of a refund, they responded extremely put off and told me to “stop making a scene” (I wasn’t even close to yelling, I was just explaining my side of the situation and I understand it wasn’t him who made the mistake, but he was the only employee there I could speak to). He did offer me a full refund which I was honestly surprised get from this place so I accepted it. I do appreciate the refund and the rolls of film, but I had to practically beg for reparations to be made and the treatment throughout the whole process was so very poor and inconsiderate. So overall, I just wanted to inform any film enthusiasts out there to beware and take your film development elsewhere because here there’s a 50/50 chance your film will actually make it back to...
Read moreI purchased a Camera from them through Amazon and ordered the wrong one. I emailed them asking if I would be charged the 20% restocking fee if the package had never been opened. Their response was they would have to determine that by evaluating the condition upon arrival. So I ship the item back knowing that the condition was new due to it had not been used or even opened, but when it came time to refund me they only refunded me 80% Of the total which was about $400 less than what I paid. They stated that the camera had been opened and used. DO NOT buy from this company. they fraudulently charge fees to earn extra money. If they would of told me that they were going to charge the 20% restocking fee I would of just kept the camera and they could of had all my money. but instead I returned it and bought the one my husband actually wanted which was initially $600 cheaper. But after paying shipping of $100 (which was fine, that was on us) and almost $400 for a restocking fee I spent the same amount as it would of cost to just keep the original camera. Lesson learned I guess. I fully...
Read moreMy wife had purchased a ProMaster phone tripod holder, was told was a certain size and when we opened the item at home it was different. We can't find the small 2 inch receipt but go back down to return the item. I spoke with Caleb or Kaleb and the kid makes a hard stance that I need the receipt. I ask for a manger and said he doesn't have one. He said he could contact Frank the owner but he's out of town. I said PLEASE contact him because I want to get this returned, and I am more than willing to show my AMEX account to prove I got it there.
He states "he doesn't want to bother frank with this as he's at a conference". I am sorry but that's a poor answer to give a customer. As a business owner myself, I would WANT to know everything going on.
Frank if you are reading this...this makes it REALLY hard to justify purchasing at your place if this is the customer service we get. I could VERY easily go purchase from B&H, Adorama or Amazon but we chose Greens for a reason and if I get this much push back from a $50 dollar purchase...I couldn't imagine...
