Salinas Fresh Produce — Attraction in Salinas

I really like this place! It is always clean. The vegetables and fruits are always fresh. They have very competitive prices. Customer service could be a little more welcoming. Hey! you are dealing with customers… I like the fact that when you are buying meat they change their gloves, that is a must. The meat has a lot of water and you can notice it when cooking it, it floats in water… This is a trick used to increase weight and profit and/or improve moisture retention. Personally, I hate it because it dries out the meat and makes it tough and hard to eat. I usually buy the meat somewhere else. I read another comment that said that because of her being “white” she was ignored... My husband and mother-in-law are “white” and love...

1st time here was a super good experience... the store is clean, its prices are outrageously good.. the veggies are all really great quality and not bruised or nasty! I got everything for caldo and some extra stuff and it only came out to 54$... literally a whole basket of veggies! The main reason I dropped it a star is because the whole chicken i got could have been a TINY bit fresher... the next day when I went to cook it it smelt like it was at the extremely early stages of going bad.... I will deffinitely be back to check out more of their...
