My mother and I just had a very rude experience with this organization. We were referred to them for assistance with repairs to our house we purchased in March. We were told they could help us get a low interest loan . Instead we were told they couldn't help us #1 the house needs too much work done. We weren't expecting them to help with all of it but after months of getting two estimates for each job and providing them with all they required then we are told there's no help for us. The director told us we also were not eligible due to not living in the house the required 2 years... She waited months to tell me this when she knew in beginning we just bought and moved in ,in March. Also this requirement was not listed in any papers she gave us. She seemed more interested in getting money from us for our credit check. Yeah, They actually want poor and needy families to pay them to do a credit check..wow! I say avoud this place. Something fishy going on. I don't recommend going there for help or giving to.thus...

A little in the boonies from the rest of these kinda stores being on Main Street in Salisbury. But maybe that is what makes this place so wonderful. Very friendly staff. A big assortment of just about everything you need. Toys to media to electronics to appliances to wood. It’s all here. Parking lot were I parked is tight off the main road, this is small. Nothing bigger then a pickup will fit here. There could be another parking lot. But I’m not sure of that. Stock was good for having people rummaging through the items. PLEASE WHATEVER YOU DO. DON’T STICKER SWAP. THIS IS CONSIDERED STEALING. BE SMART. SECURITY IS WATCHING YOU. I’m proud of this store for sticking up for themselves. Prices are the lowest here between Goodwill and Salvation Army. But I’ve seen a lot of stealing in goodwill for employees just turning their heads. Saw a posting for a trolling motor on memorial day, called and was willing to buy for price. They told me I couldn't pay over the phone so rushed to drive the 1.5 hrs up but ran into traffic and was arriving 5 mins after closing. Called a half hour prior to closing to see if they would be willing to wait 5 mins as I had cash and hand and was going out of town for the next week. Representative didn't say no so I continue the drive there. When I get there the doors are locked but a vehicle in parking area. So I knocked with no response, the Representative then walks out and I asked to buy the trolling motor, Representative states that the drawers are closed and can't let me see it to buy over the phone the next day or buy it right then with cash.
