Recently bought a PSP at a little under 100 dollars, and it is completely defective. I barely used it since it didn't come with a SD card nor memory stick, not even a joystick. The product completely refuses to turn on and doesn't charge. I was very excited to get this but it was simply a bad purchase, especially since I don't know who can fix this hardware.

Great place to find the old school games & you couldn't ask for better employees! Only downside is trade in value is way too low. Understanding they have to turn a profit but it's still way to low. Still if ur looking to buy older games or accessories this is your stop!

Nice little store and cool employees . Prices a little expensive on some items. But got 5 pairs of these cool socks for a good price.

I didn’t want to write a review about this place until i felt I gave them a fair shot. This place disappoints me. It stinks because I want to like this place, but every other time I go in I just leave disappointed.

  1. The trade is value is terrible. I brought in 80+ games into the store today and left with all of them. They offered me $5 for the whole box. I get it, most of them were disc only but to offer me $5 is outrageous. I had over 200 games at one point, and I can’t imagine what terrible price they would’ve given me if I brought everything in the beginning. I know what they’re gonna say too “condition, quality of the game” blah blah blah. About 2 months ago I brought in a disc only copy of Punisher PS2, and Mario Kart Wii, to get resurfaced and tested. Do you know what they offered me??? $10 EACH!!! Mind you, Punisher is a $40 and Mario Kart Will is $30. REMEMBER THEY JUST RESURFACED THE DISCS AND TESTED THE GAMES!!!!!! I wasn’t looking for full price at all, I wanted to trade one of the games I had for a copy of Alice Madness Returns. I left the store flabbergasted.

  2. There’s no price difference between loose discs and complete copies of games. They have disc only copies for the full price of CIB games. You can also pretty much forget about haggling for prices there. They have a game there that I’ve wanted for my collection for double market price. I even offered market price and they declined. It’s probably been sitting in their glass case for 4 months now when it could’ve sold 2 months ago.

  3. They don’t do a very good job at resurfacing discs. I have taken a handful amount of discs to them to resurface for me and again it seems it’s always hit or miss. I get some discs back that still have scratches after a resurfacing job. I took my copy of Need For Speed Most Wanted: Black Edition PS2 to Dpad and when I received it back, it was in mint condition. Ive never seen a disc that clean after a resurfacing. They have the same disc resurfacer too, I made sure to ask.

  4. There collection of games isn’t anything special. From floor to ceiling just a bunch of overpriced shovel wear titles. The good stuff are in the glass cases, however most if not all are above market price.

There are better video games in San Antonio, this is the only place that’s actually close to me, but now I’d rather drive the 30 minutes than ever step foot in here again. I highly recommend Flashbacks Video Games. They’re fair on trade in value, you can find reasonable prices there, they’ll try to give you the best price and they always have a very impressive selection of inventory. Everything this place isn’t. I hope this place does improve in the future, but for now you won’t see me taking my business there...

Regarding this review, my 2-star rating is not rating the company itself, but the rating is specific to this location. I have also been to the Game Over location near Park North near I-410 & San Pedro, and that location to me is a "5".

I stumbled upon this location a few weeks ago when I found myself in this shopping center to avoid the nearby rush hour traffic. I had no idea that a Game Over location existed at this shopping center at all, so after noticing its existence, I dropped in.

In comparison to the Park North location, I was not impressed for two reasons: selection of inventory, and customer service. For the inventory, the Park North location has a better utilized space, and the selection of games and accessories was a lot better than this location; at this location, the selection looked like the random assortment one would see at a vendor's booth at a convention, without a wide selection and no direction. In addition, the "old video game system museum" section (displays old video game platforms and explains their history) at the Park North location was better laid out and understood. These issues would have resulted in me providing 4-stars (well, more like 3.5) but the customer service brought it down even further...

When I entered the store, there were then only three people in the store; an employee, someone talking to the employee at the counter (possibly a customer), and I. When I entered the store, the employee did not greet me at all. I thought "well, okay, I'll just walk around a bit and browse", so I did. About 7 minutes later, I was confused about some merchandise there, so I started acting a bit verbally confused. But, at no time did the employee cut away from the conversation they were having with the other person at any point during that time, or even when I entered the store. The employee was talking to the customer about something regarding them going to college to become a realtor or a property manager or something like that; I don't exactly remember the specifics, but regardless, I was never acknowledged the entire time I was in the store. Even when I left the store after not being acknowledged for the about 10 minutes I was there did the employee acknowledge my being in there. No goodbye, no thank you, no nothing. Seriously, if I wasn't familiar with Game Over Videogames being better than that at the Park North location, I would have rated this location 1-star.

This location ... selection was meh/okay, but that employee kind of ruined the whole experience. Stores like this place are a lot of fun to see (classic gamer here, and have even went to Classic Game Fest in Austin a few times), but dang, that customer service experience here...

I am completly disgusted with this store, I go to this so called fight night tournament right? More like.. What fighting games? there was nothing there except Super Street Fighter II Turbo on SEGA SATURN (WHAT?) so how was I suppose to play on my Fight Stick? Also, this place did SINGLE ELIMINATION, and ONE ROUND and you are out. Are you freaking kidding me? the standard is Double Elimination/ Best of 3 rounds (With Grand Finals being best of 5 rounds) And they expect us to play on a D PAD controller!? Oh and it gets BETTER.

Before that, I have a hole in my radiator right? I have to constantly stop every 10 miles to put water in it. Traffic was HORRIBLE in San Antonio today (and it was on a Friday the 13th) it took me an hour to get there... and I asked them if they would be nice to fill my jugs up with water so my engine doesn't blow up? They said "No, we can't do that." I am like... Are you serious? Its just water.... and they just refused... They didn't give a crap that I came all the way from the south side with a bad radiator just out of love for fighting games. They told me instead to go to the resturan next to them.....

Needless to say when the night was over, I stormed out of there and gave them all a piece of my mind.. but they let it esclate too far.. instead of asking me to leave the store before they called the cops... one of my OWN FRIENDS kicks me in the stomach twice threating me to leave. Needless to say he assaulted me IN THERE OWN STORE, and I went and defended myself. The guy even was worried about me after words because he thought I had autism.. Which I actually do.

And people said the store had it under CONTROL!? It was OUT OF CONTROL, there employees hid like COWARDS! What if someone was truly psycho.. and had ended up shooting one of there customers that kicked them? and ended up killing them?

This store should be ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR LETTING TWO CUSTOMERS ESCLATE INTO A FIGHT! Yes I was out of line too because I was cussing and being nasty.. but still.. Can you blame me? I mean honestly this place was HORRIBLE to ME and didn't know what the hell they were doing at all. It was terrible... and the fact they couldn't ask me to leave the store and instead another customer comes out and assaults me... let me ask you a question.

Do you really feel safe with your children going to a store that its own employees will not protect you and...
