Taco Palenque Bandera Rd & 1604 — Restaurant in San Antonio

I’ll start of by saying that I never give reviews to restaurants, but this one is worthy of my time to be heard by the people wanting to go here, do you a favor and do NOT. This specific location has nothing to do with the other ones here in SA neither in Laredo… They’re advertising the soups all over the place, heading to the cashier, the same person cooking, handles cash without changing gloves… I ask the cashier if I could get one of the soups, and she didn’t bother to ask my what size, or if I was done ordering, I was also needing to get more… After placing the order, I go to the salsa bar and that seem nothing but fresh, The order took not too much, employees were laughing and on their phone with GLOVES… Anyways, someone brings me the food, and the Super fideo was cold… the flavor was not bad but who eats fideo cold? I got the wrong tortillas, and Manager yelling at their employees asking if they messed up, like i’m in front of you telling you That’s not what I order, you have to ask them to proof if im right or wrong? Anyways I go to ask for my other order that was to go and it was just there no one ever turned it in I went and asked an employee how come this Taco Palenque has so many different things than others, he didn’t seemed to care to give an explanation, he said they tried to do their best and that not every restaurant is operated by the same people… I understand how franchises works, but what’s the point of having the name of your company on different locations if it won’t have the same service and quality This one’s close to my job that’s why I stopped here.. After this incident, i would go occasionally because i did not crave it as i used to. Today, while looking for good authentic mexican tacos i decided to give them a try again. I was not disappointed. I love that they have specials now which make it affordable. The food and service was amazing. Definitely a different experience. Keep up the good work. I usually go to the one in bandera because its usually good but tonight i ordered two sirloin tacos and one bean taco. They told me to move to the window didnt ask for salsas nothing. I gave the girl my card she didnt say anything i didnt say anything got my stuff and left the drive thru. I checked my stuff and the bean taco was missing. I went thru the drive thru again explained the situation and was told just drive forward. The cashier was rude since before and when i approached about my order being messed up she just responded with im giving you a free bean taco. The tacos i ordered are about 5 dollars a piece and you think im worried about a bean taco. Its about the service. Never did you acknowledge me at the window just took my card the second time when i explained at the speaker you just told me to pull up no sorry. Then when i explained the situation at the window you just replied with oh you are using bad words i cannot help You. Never where there a sorry nor let me get a manager. The customer service could be improved. I bought tacos at the drive-thru. While ordering at the microphone, I asked to add "chips and salsa but have it be pico salsa and avocado salsa please." Towards the end of my order (still at the microphone) I repeated myself "Pico and avocado salsa," to confirm because they've gotten it wrong before. She said "Okay okay $19 dollar and..." AS I was finishing what I was saying, so I felt interrupted. Then, at the window, the lady handed me a different salsa (not pico) and avocado salsa. Plus the chips were missing! I had to ask her for the chips again... After feeling interrupted instead of heard, I confirmed in frustration "I didn't ask for these" as I handed the wrong salsa back to her. "What would you like?" "Pico." She took the wrong salsa from my hand in annoyance and handed me the pico. I said "Thank you very much" as she was placing it in my hands (so I know she heard me), but she closed the window on me. There was no "You're welcome" or "my pleasure" at all. And I know she heard me bc she was placing the pico in my hands as I thanked her aloud. She literally shut the window in my face...
