I have stayed at the Hampton Inn (Stone Oak) multiple times over recent years. In point of fact, I've had seven (7) stays there since August 2024, most recently 19-21 June 2025 (RM 334) Avoid this Hampton Inn... At this point the property is in dire need of a thorough cleaning and updates. On this last stay... a. The seat of the desk chair was so clearly stained one could conclude someone had an accident of some sort while seated there. b. Light brown mildew/mold is on the ceiling of the bathroom. c. The curtains are torn. d. The a/c is struggling to function consistently. The staff - in the mornings in particular is great. The location is great. Easy access to 281 and the Airport, easy access to 1604 too. But given the state of property, visitors would be well advised to look elsewhere. There are other Hilton options in the area and there are of course other non-Hilton options in the area as well. The owner of this particular Hampton Inn needs to invest asap on cleaning and an update. Their current approach isn't sustainable.

This Hampton was an okay stay overall. Not too much stuck out in particular. It does seem like the rooms are older overall - not so old that they need a complete overhaul, but familiar. Decent location by the highway, yet quiet. We even had a 3rd floor room next to the elevator, but were not disturbed by any sound at all. It is pet friendly and has your usual room amenities - fridge, TV, microwave and charging plugs. Our room was clean. Breakfast had a good selection of both hot/cold items, but I was unlucky enough to get an empty coffee carafe on the way out. Lobby staff were friendly, and the lobby itself has modern decor. We did notice a few issues during our stay: the tub did not drain very quickly, and some of the moulding on the curtains was torn (see picture). Nothing earth-shatteringly bad, just stuff that could be easily improved or fixed. Overall a solid stay that could be improved.

The hotel is next to multiple outdoor malls and restaurants of the highway. Friendly staff. The hotel is very clean but lacks AC in the lobby, hallways, and elevators. I was welcomed with hot air and then freezing when I entered my room. Luckily, it wasn't that hot during my stay. The room is very clean, and the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The carpet looks clean, but it needs washing. I felt sticky when walking right after the shower. This is the problem in America that no one takes off their shoes when entering the house or room. The hotel has a very nice size swimming pool and a tiny gym. The treadmill doesn't work during my stays. The water machine in the gym needs deep cleaning because the spring water tastes strange. I cleaned my once a year.

BEWARE! TRUCK THEIVES WORK THIS HOTEL PARKING LOT! Our F-350 truck was stolen from the parking lot of this hotel the first night of our 3 night stay. Yes, it was locked and parked under a light. Unfortunately, the hotel could not obtain any video footage of the theft because a tree was blocking the view of the camera. This leads me to believe they never check their cameras to see if they can clearly view the parking lot. I think it is time for customers to hold hotels accountable and demand they improve their security measures, especially in cities with high crime rates. For those that don't know, there were 4,292 reported vehicle thefts in San Antonio from January - March 2023. Perhaps the hotel should warn patrons, or post signs stating this is a high crime area for vehicle thefts. Or better yet, the hotel should invest money to improve their video camera surveillance, reduce the number of entrances/exits to the hotel, or hire security personnel for the parking lot. Want to know more about crime in the area, look at reviews for Home2Suties by Hilton San Antonio North Stone Oak. In the search section type in "stolen car" and at least 6 entries will appear. I don't expect a response from the hotel, but I do expect hotels to bear some responsibility. Come on Hampton Inn/Hilton you can do better. I am a Hilton Honors Member, but perhaps I would be better served to look into investing my money in other chains such as...

I am visiting San Antonio on business, I am a Hilton Member btw. What I came here for got finished early way before my check in time, I called the this place and asked what time would be acceptable for early check in, she said “atleast 12” I went to have brunch and shopping, at 12:40 I come to the hotel, she says I cant check in because my room isn’t ready. Were all rooms occupied last night? I highly doubt that, but I have to wait for this specific room to be ready although she told me 12 is okay, I could have done more shopping. Hilton please hire competent individuals please, some of us dont have this kind of patience. An update on my review from earlier, she called me at 2:10 to notify me that the room was ready, thats OK. I checked in, the toilet had an oily ring, the white duvet cover had a reddish stain that looked like a blood smear, the sheet beneath it had a yellow stain like pee, enough? No, I called and requested a change of linen, was offered another room but when I came to check in there was no clean room 🙄. However, in this new room, there’s no stains but I keep finding long black hairs all inside the covers (between the sheets or between the sheet and duvet cover) what fresh hell is this? The hotel itself is old inside, lamps look like nasty antiques, dusty everywhere, obviously housekeeping isn’t keeping the house, probably take naps in these beds instead,...

The linens and towels feel like they are washed in hard water with inadequate softeners. The pillows are WAY too soft and nearly completely lacking in support. Trash left outside rooms remain there for over a day. They offer internet access, but if you want anything over dial-up speeds, you need to pay an extra $5.00 per day. That would cost me another $80 to my stay. This should be gratis.

The room decor is very dated and there is only one light switch in the main room but it doesn't activate all the lamps which need to manually be activated. Not a huge issue, but inconvenient if you want to sleep or leave quickly.

The building layout isn't efficiently designed. There are many doors in the building, but you can't enter the building with any door other than the main entrance. We're given room access cards. Those can be used to easily enter the building from the parking lot without needed to circumnavigate the building from the rear in either high heat or rain (both of which happened to me these two weeks.)

There are not enough waist baskets. People are leaving rubbish outside their rooms or adjacent to the elevator. There is an ice machine, but a regular beverage and snack machine should be with each of them. At least a purified water dispenser should be available. Your tap water...
