I am beyond disappointed with Cold Stone Creamery (1604 location). I purchased a cake for $43.55 for a birthday, expecting high quality due to the high price. Instead, I got food poisoning after eating it around 9:30 PM(Oct 3,2024). I have thrown up multiple times since then and am still feeling sick, unable to attend school, and bedridden. We stored the cake properly by putting it in the refrigerator immediately after purchase, so there’s no reason for it to have gone bad. When I returned to the store with the cake (hardly eaten—only 20%), the owner's attitude was shockingly rude. She asked for proof from a doctor that I had gotten sick from her cake! As if I needed to prove the obvious effects of eating something that made me throw up! She refused to fully refund the cake, offering only half the price, which is ridiculous given that we hardly touched it (see the attached pictures). She didn't even apologize, which is basic courtesy in customer service. RUDE EVER! Unprofessional When I told her I had paid CASH, she insisted that only debit card refunds were possible, which is simply absurd and makes no sense. The owner even had the audacity to call one of her staff to "verify" if I bought the cake. How insulting! I even offered to let her check the camera footage to prove I was there. This entire process of returning a cake that made us SICK was unnecessarily difficult, adding to the frustration. To top it all off, she basically told me to call the Health Department, smugly saying they scored a 100, and brushed off my complaint. Is this the health department's problem or the store's problem? If the cake was spoiled, that’s on them! And why is there NO Expiration Date or production date on the cake?
This cake completely ruined what was supposed to be a happy birthday and turned it into a disaster. If you want to risk your health, go ahead and buy from this place. I certainly won’t ever be back. So disappointing, and the owner's lack of concern for her customers was just the icing on the (terrible) cake. Avoid this place...
Read moreMy husband and I got married on 11/30/16 at and we were on our way to Coldstone Creamery at 9:15 P.M. after dinner to celebrate each other with some ice cream, and as we were pulling in, we had to come around the back, and we saw three individuals loitering around the back. (Two males and one female). We pulled into the front and proceeded to walk up to the front door as we were doing so, we were noticing the people from the back looking at us urgently. We walked up to the front door and almost went in to get some ice cream, and my husband was starting to be apprehensive about the experience because there was no one at the front of the store. As it appeared to be abandoned. At that point, someone did appear hastily and hurriedly from the back trying to straighten up her appearance. After seeing all that, My husband did not want to get any ice cream anymore. Please have better supervision over your kiddos. Thanks for lessening the sweetness of my wedding day because I was looking forward to having some strawberry blonde ice cream graham cracker crust in a waffle cone because I...
Read moreAsked for my ice cream to be separated from the rest and mixed on the slab that hadn't touch any chocolate, due to severe allergies. The gentleman proceeded to get a new spoon and get my ice cream mixed. As he is putting it on the love it cup his spoon touches the chocolate spoon he had on the lab. I thought he saw it and made sure nothing touched it because I asked to have nothing touch chocolate, again due to allergies. He was very cocky and sure he didnt touch anything. As I am sitting eating my ice cream I begin to feel itchiness on my tongue. I automatically stopped eating it because I knew what it was. I was so upset we threw it away and left. The gentleman was busy, since he was the only one there. I am disappointed because when I go to the one on Live Oak, tx they are accommodating and make sure they do not mix anything with chocolate. I will not come...
