This was my first time visiting the SB Feldheym Public Library - I was drawn in from the Facebook Ad about the upcoming book sale hosted by Friends of the Library. The Friends of the Library event is hosted periodically at the rear entrance of the library. However, there's a section in the main library where you can also find all kinds of great books for sale daily. Overall, I was well impressed with the selection of books for sale and friendliness of the staff. The library itself is very nice, clean and has ample parking.
The only thing I thought was weird is when the lady security guard walked over to a gentleman and accused him of sleeping. The guard was a little loud so I turned around to see what was happening - I was about 20-30 feet away. She said she was giving him a warning and if it happened again he'd be escorted out. The guard could have been more tactful and sensitive about the situation instead of embarrassing the guy. The tables are very close to each other and everyone around was observing the confrontation. I didn't hear the guy say anything to the guard, he just sat there. Maybe she thought he was homeless and trying to sleep. Homeless or not, everyone deserves to be approached with dignity and the guard didn't need to be so nasty to the guy. Other than that, my experience at this library was very pleasant and I'm looking forward to returning as often...

I rather drive the extra 10 miles to the next city than deal being harassed by security/ management. They wonāt even let me bring a plastic bottle w/ cap of Gatorade bc itās not water and it might spill on their books lol. I tried going back to my car which I can see through their window to go grab my laptop charger and security stopped bc I had to take my belongings with me just to go grab my charging cord...
