Viva la Boba is a great place to visit anytime I feel like treating myself and/or my family. The staff is always courteous, knowledgeable about the menu, ready to offer suggestions if I would like any, and all the drinks are customizable to make them suitable for any and all dietary needs or taste /texture preferences one may have. Plus, the brown sugar boba used in their drinks is made in-house daily, which means it's always the right texture! It is often still slightly warm at the bottom of the cup, something I have come to greatly appreciate and now associate with freshly made boba!
Aside from the amazing drinks and other items you can purchase here, Viva la Boba also frequently opens her doors to host community events, creative or business oriented workshops, concerts, etc. Their shop is located a short 1-2 min walking distance from several large parking lots, so getting there is always a breeze.
Viva la Boba is a great addition to downtown San Bernardino, and they welcome everyone in their store, making sure to prioritize the safety and enjoyment of people navigating one or more marginalized identities.
If you want to treat yourself and your community while you are at it, Viva la Boba is where...
Read moreHi guys, I really want to give this place good stars but I can't. I have given this place a chance like 5 times and they have let me down, every single time. First let's start with the one drink that is popular and that's the regular boba milk tea. It's literally ALWAYS so bland. It tastes like water they don't even use milk it literally taste like water with boba. Then we ordered the mangoneada and it was almost salty, tasted so bad too and it really didn't have much flavor. We then ordered another drink it was milk tea with brown sugar and that one was super sweet but only tasted like sugar. Nothing else. The last one I ordered was a batista recommendation and that one was not too bad but it was 11$ for that drink alone. We ordered 3 large drinks and 1 regular and the price for that was 33$. Worst money spent, on drinks that were really terrible. They need to do better. The only thing we did like about this place was the music they were playing. I really want this place to do better because we are locals and we wanted a place nearby. It's just so disappointing, we have give them multiple chances. We will not...
Read moreI ordered a Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Protein smoothie (listed on the board as $6.50), and was charged $14.25. I asked the barista why afterwards. Turns out I was charged extra for the chocolate, the peanut butter, the banana, and the protein. So every ingredient had an extra charge and the barista didn't mention that but input all the extra charges manually. This is such a deceptive sales strategy, and the barista was not helpful when pointed it out. I like to support small business when I'm town but I don't think I'll go back to Viva la Boba again.
(edit in response to your comment:) Because of how your menu misleads, I should have been charged $6.50 for each drink, that's $13.00. Plus ($0.75x2=$1.50) for each substitute oat milk, plus ($0.75 for extra boba and $2.50 for an extra double shot of espresso (even though I asked for a single and asked for it on the side)).
$13.00 + $1.50 + $0.75 + $2.50 + $2.21 (tax) + $2.75 (tip) = $22.71
the charge was $30.21 so you'd owe me about $10 for this to be in...
